Maybe I could make the argument from the GOD perspective, and say that all human life and the Entire Universe weighs in at 22 grams, the weight of the Human Spirit, and the only real truth in this existence is that you can do anything you want to do in Life, so what in the Hell are you doing???
Shakespeare can write about any fuckin' thing he wants to, constrained only by the power of his creative juices, but a Journalist is limited to factual truths and consequences.

If I had to create just one thread down here it would be along the lines of..........
The 2016 Imaginary fisical MRI of Uncle Sam has Him coming in at a healthy 200 pounds, but 100 pounds of ole Sam is composed of "the stuff" of just 20 Capital-Amassing-SUPERMEN who Understand by CONTROL, not empathy.
I honestly do not know if this fairy tale means that the USA has a Super Brain, or an iron hand and steel balls because of those 20 real life winners,
or if Uncle Sam has 20 five pound LEECHES sucking out the very best of every organ for themselves, while keeping Sam just fit and able enough to carry them around.
I suspect, as usual, the truth is somewhere in between, and there is no way on Earth that the pervs here have the remotest chance of figuring it out.
To that top 20, that would be like giving a monkey a scalpel and asking him to perform brain surgery..
To the top twenty, worldly success is accurately measured in dollars, and to them God is Just and our individual bank accounts are just reflections of our spiritual worth and have directed us to a porn site rather than an exclusive golf course in Scotland.
THE HOUSE always wins, not the screaming housewife who just won 10 grand at the slots.
For better or worse, the entire planet is limited to the tune the a Nuclear USA flouts.
Right now, the USA is THE HOUSE.
The nuclear umbrella is the roof of that house.

Even to a Fiction Writer, the chore is to weigh out what's most important, and remain focused on the roast in the oven even while his guests eat the fruit salad appetizer, otherwise the writing has no weight or meaning, it's like a stop in an Oxford Souvenir Shoppe on my way to see Jefferson's vision in Germany, .... MARTIN!!
    ha ha.

Don't worry about the election, if it looks like Trump has the slightest chance of winning, I give you my solemn word George Washington is going to rise out of his grave and strangle him at the Inaugural swearing in.
Trump doesn't even speak for the Republican Party, he speaks for Conservative Talk Radio, that's why he yells.
Everything will be OK in the end, the skew of planet earth is totally necessary and correct, trust me.
God is easy, Jesus is HARD.

This segment alone ranks as your best post, a well phrased description of the man and his audience.

Thanks, Sir Stavros, you and the rest or the World are not privy to American Conservative Talk Radio, if you were, you might see that the horror of this election is less attributable to ISIS, and more to Rush Limbo.

I used some chopsticks the other day......will the People's Republic of China sue me personally for using them? Or the governments of Korea (both, including Kim Il whoever...) and Japan? And Taiwan? or Vietnam? Fuck cultural appropriation....humanity wouldn't progress without the sharing of ideas.
