I'm guessing (from what I've gathered) that gg's do more shoots because straight porn generally has better std control. Many of the actors/resses get tested monthly and kept in a database, so when there is an outbreak, it can easily be contained and traced back to the source.
If it were the same in the trans porn world (doubt it), I'd be doing videos right now.
