Pipe-bombs, Pipes and Pipe Dreams

If none of the pipe-bombs sent to prominent Democrats went off, it may be due to them being constructed by an amateur, presumably a crank, but if one had indeed exploded, would the 45th President of the USA be so convinced the media was at fault? You don't need me to tell you the answer to that, as the one person responsible for creating the permissive environment in which the language of violence and hate has become 'normal' is the man himself. It remains to be seen if real violence escalates as it threatened to do after Charlottesville.

Now consider Daniel Pipes, son of the Cold War historian of Russia, Richard Pipes and even more unhinged than his dad. The Middle East Forum which Pipes created in 1994 has been a vocal, indeed in view of their involvement, a disturbing supporter of the English fasicst who calls himself 'Tommy Robinson' though his real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon. The MEF has not only boasted that it used its resources to 'free Tommy Robinson' from prison, they have now invited this hysterical, shit-eating moron to the USA where Rep. Paul Gosar of Arizona has organized a closed meeting in Congress of the Conservative Opportunity Society. I think the meeting is scheduled for Nov 14th which may be before the next opportunity the Courts have to send 'Tommy Robinson' back to the prison where he belongs.

This could just be their pipe-dream as Yaxley-Lennon, a convicted criminal, has been denied entry to the USA before. On the other hand, one can imagine the 45th President intervening to allow it this time if only to slap Theresa May in the face, while pissing on decency much as he does on a daily basis in the country he claims to lead.

Let us be clear: the MEF tells lies. It distorts the truth. For example, when braying about its role in the release of 'Tommy Robinson' from prison, it claims:

MEF president Daniel Pipes commented: “This validates the #FreeTommy campaign's claim that Tommy Robinson, yet again, had been treated (in the words of his autobiography's title) as an enemy of the state. What the MEF does not tell you is that not only was 'Tommy Robinson' sent to prison for contempt of court -about as obscure as the front door of the Court in Leeds where the incident happened- 'Tommy Robinson' himself admitted the charges (it seems he then decided to deny he did)-

The media reported that Robinson had admitted contempt of court by publishing information that could prejudice an ongoing trial, and had been sentenced to 13 months' imprisonment. Marson sentenced Robinson to ten months for contempt of court and his previous three months' suspended sentence was activated because of the breach. Robinson's lawyer said that Robinson felt "deep regret" after comprehending the potential consequences of his behaviour.

The Courts imposed reporting restrictions on both the Trial and 'Tommy Robinson' because there were in fact three trials in which several of the accused were involved, so that to protect the process of justice the outcome of one trial was protected in order not to influence the outcome of the others.

'Tommy Robinson' took the view that he was the man who should decide if and when the trials were to be reported and in real time offered live streaming and harassment of witnesses entering the Court, outrageous -and illegal- behaviour by any standard.

The Middle East Forum is provoking dissent and anger by inviting 'Tommy Robinson' to the USA, regardless of the man's criminal record, and even his attendance at a march in Poland which 'Tommy Robinson' says he was proud to attend though as a man who claims to love Israel was perhaps deaf when the marchers chanted
“Jews out of Poland,” and “refugees get out”.

Trump just tweeted that the Mad Bomber was interfering with the turbulent political talk on the fake news, and distracting his zombie followers from early voting at the polls. I just heard they have a 50 year old white guy in custody that they're talking to. If any one of those bombs had killed somebody, no Republican could eat in a Restaurant again.
