The First Transsexual Fashion Magazine & Real Transsexual Fashion Models
This is a lttle old but, I saw in Paris last year but I don't think it's been posted here.
It's Candy, the first TS fashion magazine.
Quite impressive with a list of MAJOR fashion talent & photographers
collaborating and MAJOR fashion house advertisers.
http://www.thefrisky.com/post/246-ca...ion-magazines/
It would also be nice to post work of transsexuals who have really been fashion models...

Of course the first (and probably so far the only) transsexual supermodel Amanda Lepore- who besides being David Lachapelle's muse has modeled for Armani, Mac Cosmetics, Mont Blanc, Heatherette, and countless others
and has appeared in countless videos, magazines, etc etc. She is soon to be a guest judge on Australia's Next Top Model and these are for Schon Magazine.

The legendary Amanda Lear-Salvador Dali muse, painter, singer, tv presenter, and had an early career in the 60s and early 70s as a fashion model in Europe in magazines and as a rumway model for Paco Rabanne, YSL, & Mary Quant amongst others.

Runway model Connie Fleming
who was a regular in Parisian runways in the 90's and modeled extensively for Thierry Mugler.
She can be seen in Geroge Michael's Two Funky video. Unfortunately, because of creative differences between Mugler (who directed the video) and George Michael (who was still very much in the closet) he edited her face out if the final cut (though other footage including her is on Youtube). Her sequence is still in the video, wearing the same outifit as in the picture below.

Teri Toye
Muse to Stephen Sprouse and once represented by major modeling agency CLICK.
"One such was Teri Toye, who ventured to New York City in the 1980’s and spent her days enrolled as a fashion student in 1984, and her nights as a fixture of the NYC nightlife scene. But after a chance meeting with designer Stephen Sprouse, Teri opened his runway show and became an instant modeling sensation. Soon she was walking for Gaultier, Comme des Garçons, and Chanel, and posing on the pages of German Vogue; Steven Meisel, Nan Goldin, and David Armstrong all considered her a muse. Represented by Click Models in New York and City in Paris, her androgynous look had her working constantly."

What does a muse do exactly? Is being a muse only about modeling?

A muse is someone, or even some thing that inspires someone in their
creative endeavours.
Comes from Greek mythology.

How does one get selected to be a muse ("hey... wanna be my muse?")? How often is sex involved for these muses? How do they make a living... do muses earn a salary?

In the 1970's and 1980's Tracy Africa was a international print and runway
model, who was under contract with many major fashion houses, and had
done photo shoots with many magazines and products.
When someone divulged her gender to the fashion industry in New York
during a shoot for ESSENCE she had to leave New York to work in Paris.
She has had GRS, and is now retired from the fashion industry.

Candy Darling, for whom the magazine "Candy" that Allanah mentioned
was the muse for Lou Reed, Morrisey, Velvet Underground, and Andy
Warhol.
She was a star in a few of Warhol's movies, so yes, in many instances
muses do make money.

Oh God. Being a muse is not a job. It's just a nice way to say someone is so amazing that they inspire you to be creative in your art.
The artist might pay the "muse" to represent their product, but that's a consequence of inspiring the product, doesn't mean that being a muse is a job per se.

Thanks. I don't have any familiarity with the artistic life and I really didn't know. I thought in order to be an inspiration, she would have to be around his studio for much of her time. That would cut into her ability to do something else to make money. So I figured a quid pro quo existed, involving money or perhaps even sex, given the power differential that might exist between a struggling model and a famous artist.

:) HEY ALLANAH, POSTED ABOUT THIS A COUPLE WEEKS AGO
BUT IT DIDNT GET MUCH RESPONSE ?
Transsexuals Are Edging Into the Mainstream Is 2010 the Year of ...
"Candy, it turns out, is but one of the more visible bits of evidence that 2010 will be remembered as the year of the transsexual."
" Not since the glam era of the 1970s has gender-bending so saturated the news media. The difference now is that mystery has been replaced with empowerment, even pride."

Thank you very much, after a few years modeling i had been contacted by some french porn productions i tryied and i liked it ! I contacted some porn productions outside France and i started in the porn industry for shemaleyum, shemalestrockers & interracialtgirlsex. I Like my Job.
Porn it's different if i eat 3 macdonalds in 1 week nobody cares lol, when i started modeling for fashion magazines they was very rude with me and strict, i'm stronger now, a few years ago i cryied a lot when during the castings they keep told me that i was too fat has i only weight 55kgs in 2007 for 176cm so when porn producers contacted me yes i jumped at the chance and did it!
Modeling it's always my first passion, i'm coming back to Paris in January 2011 and i will do some fashion modeling pictures again for my personal book.
Pics from 2007 & 2008
