Having watched the Germany vs Mexico, and Chile vs Portugal semi-finals, I don't hold out much hope for Chile (sorry Nikka). The only things in Chile's favor are more experience and an extra days rest, which they might need after going through extra-time and penalties in the Portugal game. The German team is highly talented, if a little naive, but given the youthful nature of their squad, their potential to improve is frightening.
Will it make a difference to the game given that Vidal, Vargas and Aranguiz play their football in the Bundesliga? I don't see Chile being as incompetent in defence as Mexico, but they do need to score goals. If they can stifle Germany and defend well, the game could be decided by one goal, the key to defeating Germany is to score first and/or break up their organization, which may be easier with a younger team. I don't think any team, not even England, can produce penalties as dire as those missed by Portugal in the semi-final.
Chin-up Nikka, Germany have been known to lose a game from time to time! :praying:
Depends on how Tengerstenger plays, the goalie.
I go watch the game now GOOD LUCK CHILE!
vamos chile! vamos alexis!!
Not the result I wanted to see, but at least this is not the World Cup they won. :D
