Interesting, not my preferred art style for animation, but will give it a go.
There was another post before about it, it won't be Cartoon Network's first transgender character. Powerpuff Girls had a character like that and nobody blinked an eye.
It's actually annoying that transgender is getting lumped in with this cartoon. It's neither the intent of the show or how it plays out in the plot.

the sidekick is called 'splatterboy'
Absolutely ridiculous. I give it one episode.

They already made 26 episodes for Australian TV since last year. The only thing new now is the airing of the episodes on American TV.

Gee, there's nothing like attempting to break rigid stereotypes by using plot devices that exploit those same stereotypes, is there? A boy named Guy (of all things) turns not just into a girl, but an ultra girlie pseudo-Powerpuff Girl, and a pink one no less.Quote:
The series' protagonist, a 12 year old boy named Guy[1] Hamdon, discovers the superheroine Shezow's power ring and puts it on. While the power ring does grant him super powers, it was only meant to be worn by a woman.

I also just read that he doesn't actually turn into a girl. He just crossdresses while his sister, an actual girl and the more respectful and deserving party of the superpowers of a specifically-FEMALE superhero, plays a typically feminine supporting role, thereby having 'girl power' stolen right from under her.
Sounds like a middle-aged transvestite's wet dream to me. And it's being marketed to children.
Still love it?

I actually like this show. It's pretty funny.
I used to pretend I was Wonder Woman and would 'turn into WW' by spinning around. I even had little bracelets that could deflect bullets.
It's actually on the Hub, not Cartoon Network, been on in Canada and Australia for like a year, and anyone surprised Bella sounds just like the Fox news crowd complaining about the show?
Is anyone surprised that a crossdresser would take offense?

I'd watch it. Looks pleasant enough.
I haven't seen it, but is it really a transgender character? It seems more like the Japanese "Ranma 1/2."
I was just thinking that Ranma, or Kampfir. Another anime where boy turns into pretty girl crimefighter.
