Personally, as distasteful as they are, I find Phelps & his entire dozen congregants (or is that 11 now?) to be highly entertaining. Don't worry though. We still have the Second Amendment to do whatever it's supposed to be doing in a thread where it has no relevance.
I wonder if the WBC nuts have any "kind" words to say about the victims of the West, Texas conflagration.
Medford is a very strong, no nonsense close-knitted community. The WBC would do well to stay home...for their own safety and well-being....IMHO
Not much you can do. They were protesting across from The Beverly Hilton once. I saw them from a distance with their signs and veered over 3 lanes with my truck letting them hear me step on the gas as my bumper came toward them. I turned away at the last opportunity but they weren't sure that I wasn't jumping the curb coming after them. A good scare that I cannot be prosecuted for.

Would have been a shame if some hot coffee just happened to slip out of your hand and out the window at the same time you were passing by... purely by accident of course...
On a related note...
I wonder how often they get their food spit on when they go out to eat. Im betting Flem is a regular part of the WBC diet by now...
Apparently the citizens of Boston took their own action by forming a human chain which prevented the WBC from even getting out of their van. Well done.
But wasn't that in fact a breach of their right to free speech? Serious question.
The First Amendment protects free speech from being abridged by the government. Perhaps that's not the same as angry and mourning citizens not caring to hear what a group of inbred fucktards from Kansas have to say about anything? It would be different if the WBC were prevented from demonstrating by the police or Mayor's office.
they don't go out to eat (as a family at least- and individually, you wouldn't really recognize them). the entire family is large and self-contained and make up more than 90% of their church.
the ones who would likely go out to eat would be the kids, which leaves you with the question- you think it's fine spitting on a kids food? there are also members who aren't as visible as shirley.
also- about 70% of the family are all practicing lawyers. someone said they'd be better off staying away from medford for their own safety. not sure what that means because the wbc sends their eldest (and occasionally youngest) women to go protest. so unless medford enjoys beating elderly women, they'd probably be the ones being advised to ignore the whole thing- for their own reputation.
