I never met Propsero and only exchanged a few PM's but even the slightest acquaintance gave you the distinct impression of a wise soul. He will be missed by many and is a sad loss.

A caring and intelligent gentleman...RIP
So sad I remember his yahoo group many years ago. He always came across as a fair guy and his reviews and recommendations were always on point. Such a shame we never got to meet R.I.P hun xx
I'm sorry he lost the fight.
He was definitely a cool guy.
My sympathies to his family & those close to him.
I considered him a friend on here and was always hoping to hoist a pint someday.
RIP brother Prospero.
I hate to hear anyone loos their battle to a disease like cancer. Never had any connection with Prospero, and read some of his posts of course over here from NY, but Im sending my thoughts of sadness as well!
My thanks to RobertLouis as the bearer of sad timings. Prospero told me about his condition shortly before he left the board, and I admit I was shocked, he had so many more years in which to live and love. I found him to be a man of complete integrity with a love of music, literature and obviously film. He was inquisitive and kind, compassionate and creative. We exchanged some robust posts on politics, the arts and of course film, but there was also information and humour. It turns out that although he was younger than me we both went to the same Miles Davis concert when Davis appeared -once- at the Apollo in London in the 1970s. I never met Prospero but I always felt we we shared the same interests even if we disgreed on the details, as do most of us anyway. There was no animosity between us and I extend my condolences to his family and friends.
We have lost a powerful voice; another tree from the wood.
thoroughly enjoyed reading Prospero and Stavros exchanging thoughts on the great issues of the day
When I needed some help - he offered it - I guess that's just the sort of guy he was
RIP Prospero

A man with an opinion and view on most subjects, had a eloquant way of reciting the verse and had the ability to think out side the box.
Communication was always a joy with such an intrepid mind.
He was missed when he left, and now he will always be fondly remembered.
Cheers Prospero
