T-Girl Bath House in Philly???!!!!
HOLD THE MOTHERFUCKING PHONE!! Ok, if you live near Philadelphia, I have what I think is really exciting good news. If you already knew about this, then ignore me. Club Body Center, a gay bath house in Philadelphia, has 2 nights a month called Trannylicious, specifically for t-girls and their admirers. I have no idea at all what kind of people attend this. For all I know it is one 70 year old drag queen and a bunch of gay guys angry that their personal orgy space is being loaned out to people at least vaguely female in appearance 10 hours a month. BUT, it could also be heaven on Earth, where 20-30 bucks rents you a locker and a room, and access to hot t-girls who are dtf. I really have no idea. The next one is in February, and I plan on going. If anyone knows about this first-hand, please reply.

If this is legit I'm definitely gonna check it out...please details anyone
Re: T-Girl Bath House in Philly???!!!!
I wish they had a night like that at The Steamworks. For some reason they don't allow any TS's or CD's at any time. Can a gay establishment really be that TSphobic? I have heard of homophobic, but never knew there was a TSphobic.
Re: T-Girl Bath House in Philly???!!!!
According to the web site it's first Monday and third Thursday of the month. If you go be sure to report back.

Chuck,
IF I go?? Don't be surprised if you see me on the news, camped out like a goddamn Star Wars fan. The Philly scene is so weak (I lived in San Francisco for 11 years before moving here, like an idiot), I HAVE to check it out. I just wish I had SOME idea what I am getting myself into, pun intended...
Re: T-Girl Bath House in Philly???!!!!
Took a bit of doing, because the link on their website for Philly is misdirected to the Providence page, but here's the info...

I have no experience with the bath house thing, but I might have to check it out.
Re: T-Girl Bath House in Philly???!!!!
The CBC in Providence has the same special nights as well. I've been there in the past. Lotsa fun!
Re: T-Girl Bath House in Philly???!!!!
It's advertised as a 'crossdresser/CD night.'
Don't be surprised if the guys who attend the bathhouse regularly show up in drag on Trannylicious night.lol
I'm hopeful but it sounds too good to be true.
If you're expecting this scene to be like the after parties at the Tranny Video Awards, keep dreaming.
Pretty and attractive TS just aren't as pressed to find NSA sex the way admirers are.
Why would a lovely TS attend this event when nearly all the dudes there would PAY her for the privilege in private??
Re: T-Girl Bath House in Philly???!!!!
giovanni,
You make a lot of good points. My hope is that some of the decent looking girls in the area are tired of craigslist, and are happy to blow off some steam in a safe environment. I have no doubt that there will be some gay dudes in drag (discount on entrance fee AND the opportunity to get with a guy who wouldn't be interested otherwise). However, there are also plenty of gay guys who go to these places despite easily being able to pick up partners at bars or wherever, so maybe some t-girls will go because they actually enjoy it, or don't want the hassle of booking a room or having people in their home? I will find out soon enough, and I really only need to find one girl...

It has nothing to do with phobia; it has everything to do with a private business catering to its clientele.
The TG crowd can't have it both ways. If you're going to insist that you're women (and rightfully so, I might add - before the flaming begins), then you've got to put up with certain restrictions - like having MEN at a GAY MEN'S CLUB (if you pay an entry fee and have Membership dues, you're a CLUB and not a public entity - legally, it makes a difference for discrimination).
I think the gay bathhouses in PDX got it right, actually. Here, they allow you in as long as you have an ID that has an "M". You can wear whatever you want into the club, but mostly, the rules state that once inside, you must wear either fetish attire or go naked. For TVs and CD's, that means you're allowed to stay clothed.
I wrote an article on the subject for a local paper (regarding why crossdressing was considered a "fetish" in such establishments) and went to all the bathhouses here in PDX just to verify everything. It was actually a very nice experience at all of them and I go to one (Steam PDX) regularly after a night of clubbing just to relax (never play). I've always been treated well by all the gay men there, who are more curious than anything when they see me walk through the door.
I have to say, my experiences there have led me to believe that the so-called "phobia" among gay men towards TG's is mostly blown-out-of-proportion hype. Either that or gay men in PDX are just the nicest guys around.
