As a sports photographer myself, I understand the impact of timing and capturing the image. The photographer must be able to understand timing and what he/she is trying to capture. Add to this the physical capability of having a very high fps burst rate (and buffer) and you can get some great stuff like the Grooby shooters have captured here....

I like this thread, it's something I'm always trying to capture with little success - but then that's usually because taking pics is the last thing on my mind when in the appropriate situation!
Here's a recent one of my girlfriend's output though, which was nice...

Optimum situation to get this type of a shot is obviously a fast shutter speed and studio lighting! :cool:
