Old E-Mail notices are being sent to my private e-mail account

So, I got a few messages from people on here, like a couple months ago. I read them, but the e-mails that alert you to a new message on here, for those messages were sent out to my home e-mail yesterday. It's happened twice. Just wondering if this was a known issue?
