His last album was a true gift.

His way of sharing the imagery and legend with us one last time. He made everything cool and the world and especially THIS world owes him a huge debt.

Glad I got the chance to see David Bowie is last winter. It gave me a new appreciation of his incredibe legacy.

Rest in peace Blackstar.

To me, Bowie is to rock music like Salvador Dali is to painting...a true original with a unique perspective whose work will last forever.

Bowie, like Freddie Mercury, was an artist right up to the last minute. Both were on their deathbeds writing and recording music. It is that dedication and love for the art that made them great.

Music is the best thing there is in the whole universe, no doubt about it. Always sad to lose a musician, especially one respected and admired by so many. That being said, I can't really number myself among his throng of adoring fans....a little too overboard w/ the flash and glam to suit my tastes, and to place him in the pantheon of artists with Dylan, Hendrix, and Dali....mmmh, bit of a stretch there I'm afraid, for my money anyways.

Oh no - now you've done it - Bowie's ghost is going to haunt you...

Oh no - now you've done it - Bowie's ghost is going to haunt you...

...yeah, I was afraid something like that might happen, but I felt compelled to keep it 100. I did mention he was respected by many, so hopefully he'll go easy on me
