Many have oft wondered

what is the difference between an Angel and a Demon

The answer is there is none

humanity got it all damn wrong with that book they wrote

There is a reason Angels and Demons are always found together

You see what many interpreted as an epic battle

Angels and Demons forever locked against each other in the war of heaven and hell

Is merely the time honored mating ritual

Angels and Demons are highly attracted to each other because that is the natural order

What many mistake as a painful war to them is just the start of making love

For every Angel there is a Demon and for Every Demon there is an Angel

- will mine see this

- will she know what to do

- will she be bold and brave and walk into the light or just as bold and brave to drag me with her into the night.

shhhh stop asking which is which, it really dosent matter, I dont believe in God I only believe in Love

Maybe someone will say the same thing one day

Human eyes cannot see celestial majesty

This time you cannot remember what you are

This time I cannot forget what you are to me

The morality of sin makes martyrs of us all

These human eyes are just too weak to see everything we should see and they understand less

They mark some a demon simply because they find them on the blackened floor of hell covered in blood and howling like the damned.

What they dont know is how this being arrived at this spot, the rest of the story that humanity is much to young to see in its entire verse

You see this Demon arrived at the floor of hell because a long time ago because they saw an fallen Angel who was too broken and alone to fly

The pain of the world was written across her back with every step she took the world tried to attack this beautiful creature and the demon would see her fly once more

The Demon walked in circles round and round forever coming back to face the Angel from time to time

Shielding the Angel whenever possible from the worst of the blows, over and over again, never questioning the damage done she couldnt catch all of them but would quicken her pace when she saw the heavy hammers begin to fall

Round and Round, blow after blow, the Demon walked this path and wore a grove that turned into a hole all the way down to the floor of hell

Till finally the blows ceased to fall and the Demon felt the wind upon her face for it was the Angels wings as she took off for the sky finally healing at last

The Demon wailed not for the damned but for tears of joy that her love was finally free from the pain and had found the sky once again.

Bleeding, darkened black from the rock and the soot of hell the Demon knew the price that would be paid, and went willingly to the floor itself

For you see the Demon always knew she couldnt fix the Angels wings but she knew she had the strength to withstand the blows and still survive, She did not come to hell to stay

The blood and ash can be washed away with time, the pain forgotten, broken nails look like claws after so much rock will grow smooth and supple again one day.

The Demon wasnt from hell she was only passing through all this time and now began the long climb back to the sky with hopes to see her Angel again one day.

But mortal eyes are much too young to see this, and the story much to long to remember that good and evil are merely petty human constructs that pale in the story of what one would do for Love

And so the Demon, she climbed, the way was not smooth and the pull of hell on her at every step

A rope was cast down and she briefly considered it as it would speed her way out of the pit and she had spent far too much time there on this trip

The rope was smooth, the anchor firm, a thing of wonder and beauty woven with a delicate complexity that boggled the mind with both its strength and its design

The Demon, she let go of the rope, and continued to climb, a firm set to her resolve a new fire in her heart

She cast her eyes to the sky one last time before focusing on the rocky climb ahead of her, the Angel was not in sight

She would not look up again until she had climbed out of this hell for fear that she would grow blind in her searching for a glimpse of an Angel bright as the sun

The Rope she left hang for good reason, She loved her Angel and might not be there should next she fall

for the Angel told her once that she did not know the Demons true name and thus might not be able to sound the call

The rope was left behind to aid the Angel should she ever need it and forget that she once trusted a Demon enough to guard her while she waited for God to heal her broken wings.

Some where a creature with smoking wings waits with a love greater than mortals can understand for a whisper that she is needed, wanted, loved in return.

She will then open her eyes again and embrace what she always held dear but she will not seek to hold it unbidden for to do so might damage those wings so freshly healed

such is her love for her Angel that she would not do that, not in a thousand, thousand years.

This is epic! Two seasons of Dominion and Milton himself pale in the fiery shadow of this timeless tale of love. I especially love this line:

I had to write it down while still fresh, metaphor aside, some stories are simply too true not to be told.
