I've met all the girls (and dated some of them), its not as glamorous as the show pretends. AsiaSF is a small restaurant/nightclub/bar usually with horribly obnoxious local-ish tourists (who are out to party). Most of the girls are barely getting by (due to the ridiculous cost of living) and work other jobs besides AsiaSF.

But, its always wonderful to go there, many of the girls are drop-dead gorgeous.

I only found out about this show as one of the cast members (is that the correct term?) happened to be my seatmate on a flight from San Francisco.

We chatted during the flight and I cannot remember how the conversation came up but she mentioned the show and how much fun it was making it.

She said that she was surprised that it had two seasons as she initially didn't think anyone would really be interested other than a niche group of people.

I know next to nothing about the entertainment industry so I did ask a few questions and was surprised at how low the pay is to work at AsiaSF. She said she doesn't blame the owner as rent is high and so are costs, but even with the extra income from the show she needs to work one (if not two I cannot remember) other job/s.

It was amusing to watch this college frat boy hit on her the entire flight, but she handled it well and during our conversation I asked if that happens a lot, she giggled and said all the time.

I am not sure if I were in her shoes if I would have handled it as well, my inclination would have been to deck him.
