Yeah, that Duggar douchebag was revealed to have a couple accounts. So, not only is he an incestuous pedophile, he's a cheater, too. It's always the ones who claim to be so pious and righteous that have the dirtiest secrets.

Hackers are sleazy man.

What they did was self righteous and petty.
It's not like AshleyMadison was doing something against the law, but some bullshit hacker was offended these cheaters were doing their thing publicly on the interwebz.

Bet it was a relationship that went bad after some hacker found out his/her significant other was creeping on AM.

The services of these hacker groups are now for sale... for the right price.

All it takes is an unhappy customer with a lot of money

The fallout from from this is going to be huge!!

But the reality is that they were doing something very much against the law and it was probably a former member. Avid Life Media (the parent company of Ashley Madison) committed wire fraud under state and federal law in several respects (and they almost got away with it because they were getting ready to roll out their Initial Public Offering, so count serious SEC violations in the mix).

Avid Life Media grossly overstated (to the members, prospective members and prospective investors) the ratio of women to men on the site and they did this two ways, first, they didn't remove female member profiles whose membership had expired and second, they didn't delete profiles that members paid to have removed. (See gen. 18 U.S. Code § 1343 "Whoever, having devised or intending to devise any scheme or artifice to defraud, or for obtaining money or property by means of false or fraudulent pretenses, representations, or promises, transmits or causes to be transmitted by means of wire, radio, or television communication in interstate or foreign commerce, any writings, signs, signals, pictures, or sounds for the purpose of executing such scheme or artifice, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both.")

I'm not passing judgment on people who are on the DL and it sucks that they'll get exposed but how sympathetic is ALM as a plaintiff? They're like the idiots who go to the cops to rat out someone who sold them bogus weed.

Crazy world we're living in.
Hackers for hire are worse than a hitman.
