I wasnt overly impressed with it.The boat was nice, and the Asian actress(forget her name) was hot,but the plot was REALLY ou there and totally unrealistic.

They bashed the hell out of it on IMDB, but I mean it's Miami Vice. I went in expecting a popcorn movie and that's what I got, a good popcorn movie.

IMDB boards are overrun with disgruntled adolescent kids. They'll blow anything and everything out of proportion. While I wasn't blown away by the movie, I still thought it was a solid flick. It is by no means "THE WORSE MOVIE EVAR11!!!1" I hope Mann takes another shot with a sequel.

a sequel will only be good IF Mann does it, the beauty of the film was the way he captured Miami whether it was daytime or nighttime, you compare the direction he took towards the direction in say Bad Boys 2 and the films look like they were shot in 2 completely different cities

Only just been released over here in the UK.I hope it's better than some of the other 70/80s TV shows that make it onto the big screen. The only one I liked was 'Shaft' (He's a bad muttafunker')

I haven't seen it yet...but if it's a Mann film it's certainly worth a look...I didn't know until this flick was released that he was involved in the Miami Vice TV series...

His 80's movie 'Thief' is one of my favorite flicks, and I think that it comes damn close to the work of the legendary Martin Scorsese ...if you haven't seen 'Thief', do yourself a favor and rent or buy it ASAP...

I think 'Heat' with DeNiro was a Mann film as well.Ironically the gunfight scene was 'directed' by Sgt Andy McNabb of 'Brave Two Zero' SAS infamy & is actually used by some law enforcement agencies as a training film!

I am a HUGE Mann fan, but to be completely honest, this was probably the worst movie of the summer. Without Jamie Foxx (who needed more screen time as it was) this would have been a total bomb. Just my opinion.
