How did you come to the conclusion that you were a girl and not just a confused twink that would be happier living as a man in a committed gay relationship?

VERY Interesting Question.....Is It Possible To Be A Twink That is Sooooooooooooooooooo Goddamn Girly, That You Go Through The ENTIRE Process of Transitioning.....Only to STILL call Yourself a "Twink" ???

@gugaxamot your question is offensive and I highly doubt any of these girls are willing to share with you their reasoning behind their transition..

How is it offensive? It is a valid question and their is a stream in psychology that feels that t-girls would be happier living as committed gay men.

I'll bite.

Gender≠Sex. In most of our cases, see Gender Dysphoria (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gender_identity_disorder).

Boom. Done.

Also, how did you come to the conclusion that all trans women were exclusively into men?

Question for the admirers, how do you know you aren't just a confused gay man who wouldn't be happier in a committed relationship with a drag queen??

Simply put...if your attraction to a transwoman is solely based on the anatomy of her crotch then you may have a valid point.

Too harsh imo.

I hadn't thought of the above, but it is an interesting question to explore. Are their many girls that are into women?

Research, such as that done by Walter Bockting at the University of Minnesota, suggests that the breakdown of sexualities among transsexual women is 38% bisexual, 35% attracted to women, and 27% attracted to men. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transgender_sexuality#Transsexual_women)

Why are there so many "admirers" that can't wrap their heads around the fact that we do indeed NOT transition for the sexual benefit of men? Objectification on a whole nother level. If I had a nickle for every time I was asked "Why transition if you're going to be a lesbian?!"...I'd have many, many nickles.

I have a hard time believing the level of same gender preference in the transgender community is roughly 3x the national average for the general population.

Of my limited encounters with TS, nearly all are into men but some are bi-friendly.
I don't personally know any TS who are strictly into cis women or only MTF TS.

However, using Bruce Jenner as an example, when he transitioned he said he had no attraction to men. It was a fulfillment of his own gender identity but didn't affect his sexuality.

I guess I just wanted to point out you're disregarding a nonpartisan, scholarly reviewed collegiate study, performed by a group of people who's life focus is the scientific study of types/groups of people.

I always thought it was an interesting stat myself and probably a more true reflection on how people's sexuality is really. Absolved from societal pressures of being a certain way. I image the 30-30-30 (Straight-Bi-Gay) would hold true for the greater population.

I mean, us trans* folk are among the most put down and about as hated a group as you'll naturally get. Our souls are damned to hell literally the moment we choose to be ourselves. What does is it matter to add being gay or bi to the list?

I find that statistic a little hard to believe also. I wonder where they got their samples from - and how many people?

Good point, I'm a certainly doofus for not checking the case studies before citing.

That being said, here's that researcher's case study for FtMs (http://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10508-009-9489-3)[25, and in Minnesota]...I'm still trying to dig up research backing the claim to MtF sexuality, but for now if this holds any merit - I think it's safe to say it's not uncommon for trans women to not be solely heterosexual, too.

Different researcher, but this 2005 one (http://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10508-005-1793-y) studied 232 SRS patients, with results of:
Before SRS, 54% of participants had been predominantly attracted to women and 9% had been predominantly attracted to men. After SRS, these figures were 25% and 34%, respectively.

Really it's starting to look like it's actually uncommon for a trans woman to be straight, lol.

I can't believe that figure - "9% of pre-op SRS transsexual women per-dominately attracted to men" - and why would it change afterwards?
Now I'm going to question the wording of the survey. Eg; if beforehand it stated are you homosexual, heterosexual, etc. Some individuals (and depending on the culture) may answer differently.

I could see that being one factor. I'll entertain you with another:

Having sex pre-op feels really gay for some trans* folk who are interested in a traditional man and woman sexual experience.

It was really hard for me to personally overcome this misgiving. My first time having sex was on set for shemalexxx I believe with lelo Alberez. I was still so self conscious I refused to let him touch my down there.

I've worked past this concept but prior to doing porn there was no way in hell I was going to sleep with a guy pre-op. :-p

come on...those statistics are so skewed. If I had to guess its like 80/20 at the very least. If those statistics were correct, there would be a much larger segment of the TS porn industry devoted to the catering of TS/girl scenes.

Also in the other cultures around the world, there is much less of a stigma for being gay/trans and thus less pressure to appear straight for longer.

Could be, but this is all the data I could find. All I'm trying to do is prove a point that there are plenty of us that are into women, and that we aren't "confused twinks that would be happier living as a man in a committed gay relationship" as gugaxamot asked

Dude, you may need to re-think that...China, Malaysia, Singapore etc. are not exactly tolerant societies.

Mexico, India, any other cultures also have the beliefs of a third sex.

I over heard a woman who was a security guard say about a CD/DQ that because they had a cheap wig on and was not as fierce as the TS and other TG's around Hollywood THAT THEY SHOULD JUST BE A gay boy instead of a cheap wig wearing dq/cd.
