This has happened to my twice already this month.

Some girl was running a word ad in Ohio saying it was me- a nd today I get like 10 callsd from San Diego asking me if I was there-

http://sandiego.craigslist.org/ers/188539439.html

WHICH I AM NOT!!!!!!!

It pisses me off- so I called the girl like 20 times- finally got her and she said- 'Oh I tried to flag it, someone posted this with my number- I don't know who did it' Can u come up with a more lame excuse?

For everyone's refference here number is

310 409 5502

The funny thing is that back in the day- girls would rip off Playbiy and Magazine pictures and use them to advertise, now they are impersonating other trannys.

Thankfully, a lot of guys know me and my website and call to see if it's true.

And I dont even post on CL.

 MAKES ME SO MAD!

Lot of dirty shit goes on on CL.

Not long ago on the Phoenix list, someone was stealing pics of well reviewed gg providers and putting their numbers on them. Not a lot thankfully, but a few and for about a week. The girls did not know who it was either so there is a 50/50 chance that girl you contacted was telling the truth.

The aforementioned girls were similarly not amused by the whole thing.

OMG yes yes.Me and Melania were in Boston when i got several calls asking if i was in central la. This is like the 5th time! It was funny tho cuz she left the hotel number so we called the hotel and said thee was a transvestitte in room 112 using my odel pictures for the purpose of prostitution. Melania kept calling her while i called the police. I told them that i was a profesional model and i do a lot of travelling and someone had sent me a link to a site where my pictures were being used by someone who wasnt me for the purpose of prostitution. Its scary cuz i dont want people thinking IM a fake when i ACTUALLY do go!

Yikes.

I can only imagine how colorful this could get. For my part, I chat up the gurl(s) for a bit before I meet them. Can be annoying as hell for them ("Hi. It's me. How ya doin? Nice weather?"), but it assures me that I am dealing with the gurl I =want= to deal with and not some fakester that is trying to cash in on another gurl's rep.

When I first met one gurl, I honestly had doubts it was really her until I saw that signature tat on her butt. :D

This is the advantage of being up with the gurl(s) in advance. I already knew Melania and Ruby were rocking Bawsten and Cambridge, so seeing a CL listing that said they were elsewhere would have rung bells.

for the record there are still a few "desperate" broads out there photoshopping their faces onto playboy/hustler-like images then posting on CL, Eros, etc.

I said this months ago, CraigsList (CL) has become the new stroll, if you are walking the stroll with black stilettos ladies, expect to see 2 or 3 heathens the next weekend with similar stilettos

what's even more interesting than this current bullshit are the reviewers posting their experiences with some of the women AND the women boldly posting their BAD experiences with some of the clients/nightmares

Recently in the news, a man posted a fake ad on San Francisco Craigslist advertising as a female dominatrix. He gave his E-mail address and many gullible guys E-mailed him, thinking he really was a female dominatrix.

Then, this creep put up a Web site and posted all the E-mails he received, included their names, photos, E-mail addresses and phone numbers.

Wendy,
There is no way that I could let someone get away with doing something like that. All it takes is that person doing one thing wrong and it could jeopardize your reputation. Let's be clear about something. Everyone who does things like this is engaging in identity theft. They are misrepresenting themselves in order to make a financial gain. So, if you do not mind someone making money off your hard work, that is your deal.
But if I were in your shoes, I would not take this lying down.

Allanah, it's unfortunate someone would do this, but CL isn't exactly known for having honest posters. Most racist websites post fake messages requesting for males of a specific ethnicity and then publicise the responses they get.

In a way, it's kind of flattering someone thought to use your picture. Imagine all the other beautiful ladies pictures she could've used, and yet she picked yours. Must've seen something special.

So somebody vindictive and trying to mess with someone - could easily post some photos with a number of someone you dislike ???
How long does it take to get removed?

With CL two or three people flagging a fake post will get it removed quick enough. TNA reviews (formerly the Craigs List Review board) has a constant sticky for CL messages to be flagged (because of this, malicious bullshit and fakes generally last about five minutes for the girls who use TNA) and it seems to be pretty effective. So when an obvious fake is posted folks should flag it and announce it on HA as a message to be flagged.

Craigslist stopped being a realiable source for finding potential "casual encounters" about the same time DSL became widely affordable and avialable. Today, if you actually find an NSA mate, it's with potential risk that the person is or isn't not HIV positive (regardless of what they post).

Craigslist is actually an extremely dangerous site to look for casual encounters. Last summer in West Hollywood, three straight thugs put up an ad advertising themselves as a gay guy. A real gay guy responded to that ad, he met with the guys who posted the ad not knowing what their ruse was and they beat the crap out of him. They almost killed him.
