Who can recommend a good program to use for RAR files? A free one.
I got the standard one but anything I download from RapidShare is labeled damaged or incomplete. I am not a premium member, but still, all the other files I get there are fine.

So who knows more about this RAR stuff? I have read up on it, but nothing explains incomplete files and there is no mention of RARs that have passwords.

Help?

You think this NewzTools EZ thing I have just doesn't work? I thought this was the free version of WinRAR.

Am I wrong?

I second the recommendation for 7-Zip. It's completely free and open source software.

WinRAR is payware with a 40-day free trial period.

WinRAR is better than WinZip,and is free. Used it for years.

That said I prefer FilZip :

You can continue to use WinRar for free after the 40 day trial is up. All that happens is every two or three times you open it, it will ask you to buy it, and you just select "no."
