A shame for sure! I was only 30 miles from him during Woodstock concert in NY. We tried to get there, but all roads were jammed packed and it was raining. I still have memories of them days. Do u know what form of cancer that took him??

HI LI SEAN,

No, i didn't get that part. They just said he had been fighting cancer for several years.

Cancer seems to be the BIG ONE which takes every one.

You'd think that after all these many years of people donating to the cancer research societies that there would be a cure by now.
Still, it seems they don't want a cure, and are not looking for one. They seem to want something in the way of "treatment" only - so they don't lose their regular and future customers.

Sad about that and of Joe Cocker.

I am certain on the news tonight, there will be a mention of how he died exactly.

Babe,

...word I got was lung cancer
....and you are right....them days were the days indeed
...one of my favorite performances was his duet w/ Belushi on SNL...great stuff
....he may no longer be with us physically, but his music will never die
Thanx, Joe

.... as Chris Rock pointed out in one of his shows....They not gonna cure cancer....the money's in the medicine....that's the sad fact of it for sure
