Is there a separate "lab" like some college science courses have, where you get hands-on experience?

Be fair, Philae travelled on Rosetta for more than 10 years and 6 billion kilometres to meet Comet 67P. It was probably just a little overexcited and nervous when it's harpoons "failed to fire". It's now begun "drilling"...
