View Full Version : Do black people have more potential in TS porn than in staight porn?

This question came to my mind as I looked at one of the straight sites that I am a member at. There is very little interracial porn in the straight industry outside of race themed sites. Race themed sites and interracial porn in general is very racist in straight porn.

There are porn companies that do not hire black pornstars. One very well-known company did not shot a black person for a year and I called them out on it. I wonder if this is a violation of affirmative action. Grooby hires more black pornstars than almost every non-race themed company/site in straight porn. SMC's Interracial T-Girl Sex has more American based interracial scenes than some older companies.

It gets worse from here. Grooby's Black Shemale Hardcore and BlackTGirls.com have more black on black scenes than the entire straight industry. It is extremely rare to see a black man have sex with a black woman in a porno.

Black women also get much less work than any other racial group in straight porn. This is funny because black TS women get more work than black genetic women. Natassia Dreams has more hardcore scenes in the past 3 years than the average black female pornstar.

Natassia Dreams is considered to be a top pornstar in TS porn. The straight industry doesn't have black women considered to be top talent in porn.

"Iwonder if this is a violation of affirmative action." - pretty funny, I'd like to see that in court.

It goes down to the same old adage again ... it's what sells! If our black on black or inter-racial scene's performed poorly because of colour of the performers, we'd have no choice but to either change it - or close the site. We have a few complainers but over-all, they perform equally as well as other sets (with it usually being more dependent on the TS talent).

If for example, site "ILoveBlondes.com" had a 98% White/Asian/Latin member base who liked seeing Whites, Asian or Latin's in their porn and they'd tested a Black model with poor results, then why would they be expected to show more?

Would this also mean that site that specialized on all Black models with Black models, would be expected to show a few non-Blacks, just to be fair? Even though the customer base wasn't there.
I did not on a quick lookie for quality Ebony sites how few there seem to be though.

Your original question. Do they have more "potential"? I'm not sure what their more potential would be but for a company like Grooby, we'd hire someone based on their looks and ability to perform, if the feedback was good, we'd use them again.

I'm against affirmative action. But I think the last thing it would be used for is to make sure black porn stars get more work.

As for the question of the thread, no they don't. I would say the potential is about the same due to the fact that porn stars usually get hired on their looks and whether or not they can perform on camera.

Just out of curiosity, which porn site are you talking about TSPornFan?

Of course they do! Everyone has a better chance of getting into TS porn.... from what i've seen on some sites all you gotta go is throw on a bra, wig, shave your body, rub make-up on your face , and call yourself a transsexual and they'll pay you to jack off on camera.

I do believe there is racism in porn and to argue that it's just economics is being disingenuous.

If you wanna watch straight porn and they don't have the scenes you prefer, you're still going to watch it. Mainstream porn companies can freeze out Black talent because Black men are still going to watch porn even if they only have a small acting pool of talent to watch.

I do think that tgirl porn ironically is more diverse than mainstream porn.

I see more Asian/Black/White/Hispanic actors fucking etc., than I do in mainstream porn which is really surprising when you think about it.

Because porn viewers are a locked-in, captive market, I think most producers of porn aren't swayed by market forces to the same degree that other businesses are.

Porn producers IMO produce product more to their own individual aesthetic and not what the market can tolerate or is profitable.
That's why so many actresses in mainstream porn look so cookie cutter.

It's like a grocery store in the ghetto. Who cares if the produce is 2nd rate and the grocery items are over-processed and unhealthy??
Where else are those people gonna go to buy food??

I respectively disagree on almost every point with the exception of:
"Porn producers IMO produce product more to their own individual aesthetic " I believe it's this which makes porn SO diverse. If it's not profitable though, it will soon not work. I am the living proof of this. My vanity sites have failed, my sites that cater to what those buyers want, are magnificent.

I am pretty sure someone will try to sue a company one day.

I fully understand when there is a racial expectation from a race based site like ILoveBlondes.com. Don't look at it from that direction. Look at it as if a site named BigTits.com filmed every race except for blacks and remained this way for its first four years. Something racial is clearly happening in this picture. Why is a non-race themed site not hiring blacks?

I also do not agree that testing one black model is the final say. One scene can be rated bad for numerous reasons from talent's looks (not color wise), horrible performances, bad camera angles, etc.

I spoke to one former owner who shot one interracial scene in 4 or 5 years and I requested for him to shoot another one. He's reasoning was the same as yours that he tested one black guy with a white female and the scene was the worst rated scene on the site. Does that single scene define how members feel about IR porn? Absolutely not because that's improper researching. I agreed that scene was horrible, but not because of the performer's race. The scene was awful because the male performer gave a bad performance and I do not relate to black male pornstars who act like hip-hop stereotypes.

One of my favorite pornsites booked one of my favorite girls at the moment in a B/G/G IR scene and I think it sucked because they paired her with a bad looking female.

I do not expect every company to always shoot a black person everyday. However, I do expect non-race themed sites to shoot a fair number of blacks each year, and most fail my expectations.

If they do, it will not be as a "violation of affirmative action" which is not a cause of action. If they are employees they would have to sue under title vii of the civil rights act for either disparate treatment on the basis of race or disparate impact. If they are independent contractors then it would be under section 1981 of the federal code that regulates (disparate treatment only) discrimination in contracts.

The courts have generally tried to steer clear of finding discrimination in the arts, particularly when it pertains to casting decisions. But theoretically, there is no defense that allows discrimination on basis of race (for sex there is something called a bona fide occupational qualification), so a caucasian can sue for not being considered for the part of Martin Luther King in a play and an African-American could sue for not being considered for the part of John Adams. I wonder what our courts would do if someone ever tried to assert such a claim? It would probably lead to an amendment of these civil rights statutes.

Of course, in porn, there is generally nothing that inheres in the casted part that would keep someone of any race from playing the role effectively, except as Franklin astutely pointed out, where the scene is interracial and the actors are playing roles, though admittedly general ones. Anyhow, the more expansive the courts interpret title vii and section 1981, the more likely an amendment will pass narrowing them to their intended parameters.

The chart isn't well done. There have not been many ebony girls in porn for the past five years so fans have very little to search for. Fans don't have much of a reason to search for the same scenes over and over again. Skin Diamond, Diamond Jackson, Codi Bryant (recently returned), Jasmine Webb and Anya Ivy (new) are the most recognized black women in porn at the moment. Skin Diamond is the top black chick at the moment with appearances at multiple sites, and the other girls have a few appearances.

People who buy porn generally don't use tube sites because they are members at sites/networks. They don't have a reason to view it from a tube site. I only use tube sites to look at trailers if the company itself uploads their trailers to tube sites.

Thanks for pointing out the Federal Code from 1981. I bet courts would probably look at the industry as a whole depending on how much content a site or company has.

Most of my Porn is African descent people, we are not black, there is no such thing as black people, this is a classification identity status which is stupid, you don't even have to check that in job apps no more because African descent leaders stepped up and said we don't call our selves that.

But most of my Porn like I said is my people and they do a good job, to dam of a good job LOL My Domme and I we have lots of fun watching our own get down.
Caucasian people do their thing too, but I like what I like and that's what I like, and it's my right.

yes....i guess you can't blow that picture up, my bad I should have provided a link.

They took the top 15 most viewed scene categories and found the most popular 24 videos by views...the small numbers on the right that loop to the category on the left are ranked in order of views.

So if you total out the top 24 videos in each of those 15 categories, you get a number for each categories which is then ranked on that chart.

So yes, teen is the most popular and shemale is the 15th. Which makes sense to everything except apparently not Franklin. lol

It's unbelievable his response would be "that chart isn't well done" because it doesn't fit with his theories.

Being the in the top 50 most viewed sites in the world doesn't mean jack shit in your chart and theory. You are ignoring too many factors involved in tube sites. How can people upload more ebony content when little is being bad? Of Why would people search for the same ebony scenes over and over again?

Of course not many people are searching for ebony content. If very little of something is being made then not too many people will know about it. A company shooting one black scene a year is not going to make search results skyrocket.

Anyone who knows statics know that you must have a near equal amount of different types of porn to perform a study. For example there must be 5 ebony scenes, 5 white scenes, 5 Latino scenes, 5 Asian scenes, etc.

Black women and men in porn are not promoted or advertised like other pornstars. Porn sites advertise interracial porn in a very negative manner, "Oh no she has turned to the dark side!". That type of advertising triggers so many different emotions from different people.

I beg to differ, Jada Fire, Kitten, Vanessa Blue, Jasmine Cashmere, Naomi Banxxx just to name a few are noticed highly.
