I did it last time so I'll put a few things out there because while it was a lot of fun, don't kid yourself, there are several things to consider before you start waving your hand frantically.

There is a significant time commitment required to do this job properly, so:

1. If you're married or living with someone who has no idea about your little "hobby," and especially if you have kids, it's probably not for you.

2. If you're a college student with exams coming up, it's definitely not for you...it's also probably not for you if you just finished a stressful period of exams and are now looking to just kick back and do some partying.

3. Any other things you have going on outside of your job that are taking up a lot of your time, which you are not willing to cut back on, it's probably not for you.

If you really do have the time, there are several other factors which you should take into consideration:

1. There are so many good performers that it's hard to make a decision, because you end up feeling kind of bad for the ones you don't select...and believe it or not, there's somewhat of an emotional toll there.

2. If you're like me, there are some performers whom you have absolutely no interest in...so be aware that your job is to watch and judge their work objectively, which is harder to do than it sounds.

3. I guess the bottom line is that while it does sound cool to be a judge (and it is), you have to approach it seriously...a lot of blood sweat and tears go into making the whole thing happen and the performers are putting themselves out there in a way that you (and me) could never do.

You have such a kind heart. Its very simple someone has to win and somebody has to lose. Those are just the facts, its not like they are going to hate you or something. And if they do, too bad.

This is not true. I think I was the first ever fan judge. I'm not 100% sure on that. Anyways I was going to college while being a judge. It wasn't that hard to do considering that I already watched 75% of the content and I watch scenes while studying at the same time. Multitasking at its finest!

I had a blast being a judge. I watched so many scenes and gave sites a second look.
