View Full Version : My thoughts on being a porn affiliate.

I became a porn affiliate during my freshman year at college. I thought it was going quick and easy money. I made a blog on straight porn and expected traffic. My expectations were very unrealistic at the time. I was foolish enough to believe traffic would automatically hop to my site without much content. I dumped the site and tried a new site on TS porn. I also dumped it as well. Neither site had any traffic and my sales were a big fat ZERO. I never gave either site a chance as they were dumped in their first three months.

Last year I started advertising porn again and it was easy to restart since I already had accounts with the major players. I didn't have any money to start a site so I went to the next best thing, Twitter. I noticed someone posting affiliate links in his tweets so I decided to do the same but be more interactive with fans and pornstars.

Things are slowly beginning to workout for me. I made my first sales this year. I've learned how and what to promote heavily to generate the most sales. Although all of my sales have been in straight porn and nothing TS related as sold on my end. Now I know that I need to be more patient with websites and promote them on social media.

I really don't know how in the hell Gamma Entertainment won best affiliate performer from AVN. They have one of the worst user friendly affiliate sites.

My suggestion, you have many successful people on the forum who knows the system in and out and have done well by it. I would seek their advice. Now if you are dumping your site so quickly because it lacks profit you need to revisit your site model, because there is either no advertising to attract people to your site or the material you have displayed is not connecting with customers. Doesn't have to be new, but it has to be attractive. In addition you have many models on this site, so their is an opportunity to connect and work with them promoting your material. I don't know how much work you put into, but I think if you push a little harder, it might work well for you.

My blogs' theme was reviews on scenes and DVDs by various companies and of course girls with big tits. I want to start a new blog with the same theme and also incorporate my opinions on the best performers and various subjects.

I've made some pretty good money with affiliate links (especially with Kink and SMC). Twitter works, but I've got to update the blog more. I have the Wordpress app on my phone, which means it's easy to make a post on the fly. It's just my day job gets in the way. I need to get back up on that.

the problem is franki...your opinions are extremely biased and unpolished therefore i'd be shocked if you ever did well with this

What's your point? Everyone's definition of sexy is extremely biased.

I won't review scenes that I would automatically dislike before watching them. For example, I don't watch flat chested pornstars. I wouldn't bother reviewing any scene or DVDs with flat chested girls.

OH I LOVE THIS THREAD!!!! Well after 5 years of pretending to be an affiliate when I am really just half-assing it, I can give you what I have learned.

The best affiliate program by far is Naughty America. They shoot the largest variety of girls, have a HUGE catalog of girls/scenes, the prices are low, and people seem to rebill more often.

You can sign up to be an affiliate of Naughty America - HERE (http://enter.naughtyrevenue.com/track/cwians33.2.1.1.0.0.0.0.0)

I am not a fan of Brazzers because surfers tend to only join through the tube sites.

Bangbros & Reality Kings have old & antiquated affiliate programs that don't offer Revshare and only PPS which really sucks for affiliates.

Pornpros affiliate program Fuck You Cash is excellent as well in terms of making sales because they shoot so many new girls in their first few scenes, and they have many different joining options. Also great for rebills.

You can join PornPros affiliate program Fuck You Cash - HERE (http://www.fuckyoucash.com/track/MTAwMjg6MjM6Mw/)

I have attempted to join other affiliate programs, Spizcash, Premiumcash, Puba Cash, Blacked.com, Porn Star Platinum, Danger Dollars, Blazing Bucks, Cherry Pimps, Mofos, Aziani, and Kink but honestly, it's damn near impossible to make any sales for them. Especially the single girl sites - if you are an affiliate of those make sure you do PPS and not rev-share bc fans join grab everything they want and leave within a month.

There are two big Shemale Affiliate Programs, SMC Revenue (no good) and Grooby Cash. Grooby is pretty good, there aren't a lot of TS affiliates out there, which means that you can make some sales if you try.

You can join Grooby Bucks as an affiliate - HERE (http://new.groobybucks.com/track/cwians33.3.3.3.0.0.0.0.0)

as for getting paid, literally in 5 years I have gotten paid on time by every single affiliate program with only 1 single exception.

Plumperpass is the top BBW site in the world, run by a guy in Miami named Clint Works. His affiliate program is Sensational Cash and I was able to make some decent sales and rebills promoting them. I initially thought it was strange when I got checks that were handwritten, but then my checks started to be late, then didn't come at all. Meanwhile I was shooting scenes for them, and when I texted or called him, I always got lame excuses.

Finally I gave up, and stopped promoting them. I tried bitching on twitter and they ended up blocking me. They run Samantha 38G's website and she made it seem somehow that it was my fault I didn't get paid bc I complained about not getting paid. Not sure what she meant, but whatever.

Currently I am owed 1050.42 and I doubt i will ever see a single penny of that.

then I checked on Go Fuck Yourself (the webmaster) message board and I saw that they have a bad habit of not paying affiliates. So now I know its not just me lol

Thanks for the tips Christian! Naughty America is definitely the best program. That's where most of my sells come from. Naughty America is ridislously cheap. There is NO excuse to steal from them. They always send me $5 monthly membership deals. You can't beat that deal.

Brazzers isn't that good. Brazzers also does not support affiliates on Twitter as they ignore my tweets while Naughty America is always retweeting my tweets.

I tried joining Grooby a few years ago and was denied because my blog didn't have enough traffic.

You could probably try that again - not only are we a little looser now (less affiliates) but if you put "Franklin from Hungangels" on the application we'll know who it was. There was a period when people were joining affiliate programs just to access the free porn.

TSPornFan as an affiliate.

I don't know how you plan to bring in traffic but where affiliates fail is either trying to do whatever other people are doing - or just being dull.

You've got a talent so you need to use that as your angle to bring in people.
You're annoying. You're over-analytical. You refuse to listen to other people's opinions. You're set in your ways and confident that only your way is right. You watch way too much porn. You enjoy the attention of arguing with people.

So use that. Create a TSPornFan Blog and put your ramblings about what is so bad about this, or what do people think about that, there. Elicit responses and arguments, create a Twitter feed (yeah I know you have one already) and a Facebook page and inter-link it all. If you hate a scene or a site, then say so. If you have an opinion about a model then don't beat around the bush - say so.
This is what people will keep coming back for - and this is how you will be able to create traffic to sites that you believe in and want to sell.

Listen to Grooby and Christian, if you can nail, you will make some cash. What Grooby is saying is what I was thinking. In my opinion I would work with him in shaping your blog, I think he would be willing to steer you right.

I don't have a blog at the moment because I'm low on cash. Any suggestions?

Yes sir! I will put aside some of my foolishness and take their advice!

You can probably look around and get one for free - or almost free. Or even tumblr might be a start.

I found a free site but I think I am only going to use it to save posts. I'm going to save my money to buy a domain with extra features and graphics for the site. The exported posts will be transfered to the new site. It may be until next year when the site is online.

1. Domain = $15 a year.
2. Blog space = Free
3. Signing to affliate programs = Free

Remember why I asked you to change my name? Yeah.....It's going to be slightly more expensive to keep my address private from the public.

I promote tons of blogs on TS, BBW and Gay porn. My money that is steady flow is Grooby, SMC sucks, I may make 60 bucks every 3-4 mths, so I stopped promoting their sites. But Grooby is my steady income on affiliates. Its worth it, but it took about 3 years to get to the steady flow I get now. I get tons of rebills and sales every month.
