Oxford is a bigger bustling city with a university... Cambridge a prettier country town with a University. Professionally, I'd admit, Oxford may offer a busier stream of clients.

Having lived and worked in both Oxbridge establishments, I agree with Prospero's judgement that Ox will provide the better draw and has a much better array of hotels and nightlife. If you come, RV, it's a 2 hour booking in the bag already.

Oxford punting (the boat sort) is easier than Cambridge. They make punters of sterner stuff at Cambridge.

Heyy I forgot about this thread. I'd say the US are out question. At least for now. Anywhere farther north than Wales is also highly unlikely to happen unless I decide to experiment again, or go sight-seeing:) Biomechanics seems to be liked more southwards.
