I was just curious if anyone knows of anyone who may have transitioned or partially transitioned for business reasons more so than their own desire to. I've heard things here and there over the years from different people that sort of hinted towards it, most recently Eva Lin said something along those lines in an interview. I can't remember the exact quote but she said something along those lines. I know such a thing can't be common due to the enormous emotional and financial cost of it all. But in a few instances I'm sure it has happened. Obviously today's breed of drag queens will sometimes go through various surgeries to help out in their line of work. Maybe sometimes it snow balls from there for some?

From what I've heard it seems to be most likely in a country like Brazil.

if you can make money at it, you will find someone willing to do it.

perhaps not prevalent on the "mass appeal pornstar" scale but there are obviously trans-for-pay models featured on several websites. let's think about it...if you are a gay man and can't get any escorting business, why not doll yourself up and sell yourself as a transwoman. you'll be in much higher demand.

that said, i think as transgender individuals are far more the norm in other cultures, it is probably a little more common in Thailand and Brazil than it is here BUT that doesn't mean that some of the models in the US aren't also trans-for-pay. i can think of a bunch that appear to be from their look, lack of transition over time and such.

Why would one like a professional career that won't make them happy??

Yes this is sort of what I was thinking/wondering. I was very surprised to hear Eva talk along those lines. I mean she didn't talk about it heavily or anything but just sort of glossed over it briefly. You would think someone looking and acting like she does has wanted and felt it her whole life.

And back to the drag queen thing. I have heard numerous people bring up certain queens and them having work done (facial, boobs, injections, so on) and still identifying as a male on the inside and in their normal day to day life. Now I am not judging it, I am completely fascinated by it. Going around with a largely feminine look, huge boobs and ass, whatever but still considering yourself male. Just sort of blows my mind.

Then this new breed of feminine male model that is becoming such the "thing". Now obviously some are the classic story of a very feminine male trapped in the wrong body and they get noticed and start slowly transitioning into what they feel more comfortable as. But then there are surely others who start transitioning a bit just to help their career and get more work. It's just another fascinating avenue in this whole trans thing for me. So many different stories, ways, types. All cool and interesting and many times very very sexy.

Well obviously many times people confuse money with happiness. And in the case of some of these trans girls in dirt poor situations and countries maybe it's looked at as a no brainer and the only way out for them. I've never lived any kind of existence even close to that but I can imagine it. You are poor and desperate and your friends are doing it, you are already on the fem side so you take the route of least resistance. Put food on yours and your families table, start having things you need and want. It seems like a heavy price to pay on the outside but imagine going hungry for a while and what lengths you'd go to change it.

Yes I can see that. I've seen many asian and latin camgirls who are either super early in transition or are just really femme males playing it up for the cam.

That brings up another area of wonder for me. How many of these types start out with little to no interest in being a girl but as they work on cam and see the other girls getting more attention when they have gone further into transition (getting boob work, surgeries) decide to go the same route? I bet it's more common than one would think.

Danielle Foxx started out in the drag world and even did a talk show appearance where she gave up drag because she wanted to focus on her regular career. At the end of the segment her wig was yanked off. We all know where she ended up but it makes for a very interesting watch now.

There's things I want. Like boobs, srs, some facial work, etc. But I'm mostly happy w/how I look. So that probably makes me less motivated to make a bunch of $$$ to get surgeries. And I spend money like crazy & don't escort or sugarbaby. So all I've done = laser & HRT. I am a woman tho. I pass like all the time.

It's frustrating that ppl might not even consider me a woman just b/c I'm not made of plastic, but it's only porn fans who compare me to the tgirl pornstar norm that think that. In real life in public I do fine being more natural.

Esp the boob thing. Porn fans are like ooooo I won't look at anyone w/o boobs. But IRL I gotta brandish weapons on the street to keep guys from touching me. Different rules apply to porn land.

Humm, well, there is definitely a business aspect in transitioning further (for pretty much everyone I would imagine). How you look affects how you function in society.... that is a lot of the angst behind transitioning in general. For business, personal life, and everything else.

I wouldn't say business / career is the majority of why I want FFS....but it is definitely a major concern.

....Different rules apply to porn land.

the porn world is far different that RT. In RT, you are who you portray yourself to be based on your looks, attitude, intelligence, social graces, etc. That does not really come across when selling sex on camera because the intent and motivation are different.

Moreso, the packaging is different. Actually, if you look at my signature, it speaks directly to this point. Some women look better with their clothes on. That is not directed at you Michele...but packaging sells who a person is, be it dressed prim and proper, sultry or slovenly...feminine, masculine or androgynous...in thift store threads or designer labels.

Walking into a starbucks or meeting at a bar, I might find a girl attractive for any number of reasons so long as they present someone that features the physical features i find appealing. I believe however, that should that meeting turn to intimacy, once clothes start coming off and i find her body less than feminine, my interest could quickly wan depending on where she is in her transition. It is the same with porn...but with porn...it is far more too the point. I lose immediate interest when certain models take their clothes off.

This isn't an issue of passing or even of having boobs or not....it is more of a "total package issue" in that some models are clearly women in transition and others appear not to be. these others could be trans-for-pay or just very non-committal people. who knows???

one thing this board shows though is that there is a market for every iteration of trans-porn because there is widespread acceptance (maybe not vocal, but widespread) for models that are the "man in dress" style through the ulta-fem barbie type.

I did read an research article about transsexualism in Thailand,
and it said that most of the impoverished Kathoeys that decide to become
TS is mainly for financial gain.
So it's not impossible for CD's and DQ's to go all out and transition to become a
Trans-woman to make money.

this is not a question of "hormone boobs" vs. implants. it is a question of having a flat chest like a pre-pubescent boy or not. there are MANY popular models that are the latter and these are the girls i suspect could be trans-for-pay. i stress could because some may just be modeling at the extreme infancy of their transition whereas others could be trans only because they want to dress the part.

We know what this topic is about. We were responding to Michelle Firestone's statement about hormone boobs vs implants.

I'm sure there are popular TS pornstars who are trans for pay. That's how trans porn originally was before the 2000s. Most trans pornstars were crossdressers and gay men who were paid to be trans.

"Trans for pay" - very interesting topic. 10/12 years ago in Pattaya i met a very attractive (and very busty) ladyboy. Age mid 20's, she had been working in one of the big cabarets and escorting for 4 or 5 years. She spoke good English. Her feminisation (primarily implants) was an investment to help her raise money to pay off loan on house she was buying. her plan was to have her implants removed at age 30 and go back to being a (gay) boy.

In the original "Ladyboys" docu, we see one of the girls featured working in an abbatoir. The choice presented was: be a boy in exhausting, dirty work in rural Thailand or go to Pattaya and earn money much more easily by being a ladyboy cabaret dancer + escorting. Not surprsing that many gay boys would choose the latter. I wonder if it is even chosen by young thai heterosexuals but have no evidence?

At least, the boys in Thailand have some choice. Information from Brazil shows young gay boys from the poorer north being enticed (at best) or kidnapped (at worst) by traffickers to big cities and then transformed quickly into "mini travestis" by hormones, silicone and implants. then forced into bonded labour/prostitution to repay the "bill" to the traffickers. I can supply links if anyone wants them as proof of situation in Brazil.

Thanks so much for this insightful response. When I created this thread and had these ideas I never even considered this side of it. The "forced" aspect. I was mainly thinking about people making a business type choice. Already gay, maybe slightly fem, seeing how life could be easier for them, so on.

The alternate thing. The being kidnapped and forced... Whoa that is scary to say the least. I for one would be extremely interested in reading the articles you mentioned. The world is a scary place.

And thanks again for joining in and sharing your knowledge here.

Not saying it's common, but some yeah, why not? It's human nature, people will always look to buck the system.....99% of TS, MTF and FTM, probably do it for psychological reasons though..

I am surprised that no one has mentioned the famous story in the poker world in which a guy by the name of Brian Zembic was offered a "prop bet" of $100,000 to get a pair of boobs and keep them for a year. There was a movie about poker with Drew Berrymore, can't remember the name but he had a bit part in which her date points him out and tells the story of how he came to get fake boobs. People need to remember that in most cases the Trans thing works in reverse. Many people dont transition because they cant afford too. Lots of people aren't - and I dont want to sound nasty - aren't beautiful, so if they were to transition they are not getting sex work jobs or in a lot of cases any jobs. Thats why you see late middle age men transitioning at retirement age because they simply couldn't afford too when they were younger.

all my content thats out now could be separated into 2 eras. first = east coast where I was on hormones & couldnt get hard & ppl called me out on it. So after that I stopped taking them for a few months. I feel like for every month I didnt take them it set me back like 2 months of femming. I totally lost any boobs I had which wasnt much anyway cuz im pretty anorexic. Then I shot all that content w/Radius (who is really talented & underrated btw) & boom huge hard dick but I look waaay more masculine. & I hated that part of it. I didn't like being presented like that. Also I experimented topping for the alltgirls site/dvd. The other girls were great & fun but it wasnt my thing & again I hated all the focus on my cock. I know its porn/fiction & ppl know I'm not like that IRL, but it still bothered me.

So now I'm back on my full doses & I have lil boobs bigger than before cuz I think I'm chubbier? I don't care if I'm not super successful if I only bottom & can't get really hard & cum a bunch. I don't feel like selling out as a top when im not one. I'd rather just focus on doing what I really do. I think itll be better that way. Even if I lose fans.

Basically saying that I was totally flat chested & more masculine for the money/fans. There's lots of pressure to get hard & junk so think about that when you think a girl looks too masculine to be trans. Maybe she is off her meds to be hard.

all my content thats out now could be separated into 2 eras. first = east coast where I was on hormones & couldnt get hard & ppl called me out on it. I can't really relate as I am not trans but I do what is the word have empathy/ or whatever. I would imagine this sort of thing would be very tough to navigate for a transitioning girl.

Not that this is being asked for or part of this discussion but for me it's always been about other things with tgirls. Sure some girls rock out with a big cock and it makes them seem very exciting. But then others make a soft tiny little cock seem so sweet and adorable. It really has to complete the whole package for either one to do anything for me. We are talking attraction here, nothing else. I've never been with a tgirl or even been around one so this is strickly attraction talk. Face, hair, feminine demeanor, so on is what will get me way before caring about what she ma or may not be packing.

This is a fascinating topic, and one that I've wondered about for a couple of years now, so I'm glad to have come across this thread.

I think the alpha has a really good point- a lot of people can't afford to transition, and this does provide some counterpoint, and also raises the question of the uncounted or unconsidered number of people out there who do in fact want to transition, but are hindered by an inability to make the kid of money needed to do it.

That being said, let's face it- its no coincidence that T girl escorts are concentrated in areas like Thailand, the Philippines, and Brazil and other Latin American countries that have poor economies but attract western visitors who have the money to spend on the sex industry. We even see this in places like the upper mid- western U.S., where all the new money from fracking and other contracting work has caused a never before seen number of sex workers in these areas. Poverty will drive people to do just about anything, and it wouldn't surprise me at all to find that there are a large number of people who do transition with profit being the primary motive. After all, people travel a shadow network thousands of miles, at high personal risk, all the way from countries like Guatemala, just to do the yard work lazy Americans could do themselves, so again, I think its very likely a lot of ladies are primarily profit oriented rather than driven by a need to transition.

There are also a LOT of trans people who don't transition because they are afraid of not passing and what it would mean to their lives (basically destroying the lives they have).

I know a few like that now.

Don't forget there is a much bigger world of trans people outside of the sex industry.

Trans for pay wasn't uncommon in Thailand. There was a wide spectrum of the LGBT rainbow that I encountered there. Of course trans for pay was always for financial reasons. Since there's no such thing as a pension for most of the people in Thailand. Those who had a few generations of family to support them as they got old were fortunate. Unfortunately not all gays and trans were accepted by their families. In some cases a homosexual or trans person would transition to try to nab a partner that will look after them. If they were unsuccessful they'd might de-transition and try other avenues for security. I don't envy their position. My ex is still doing well over there. With my support she was able to develop a decent career and she's able to support herself. She doesn't have to go fishing for a sugar daddy just to get by. I'm glad I can think that I made a difference in her life.

Yep, I think the answer to the question of trans for pay or gay for pay needs to be inserted (pun intended) into the context of the larger sex industry in, for lack of a better term, Third World countries. I would use 'developing,' but that would put too positive of a spin on the situation in countries like Honduras, whose development flat lined a long time ago.

A lot of these countries have rapidly urbanizing populations, which means young people from the country who are enterprising and want a better life flock there, often to find a whole new, and more difficult, set of conditions. Sometimes they end of joining the sex industry. In Thailand, this has become so lucrative and economically stable that most girls are from rural areas and are just following in the footsteps of several generations who came to Bangkok to tap into the sex market since the 1960s.

I don't think that we can consider sex workers just doing what they do because they want to bankroll a transition. Transition itself could offer up a better life. After all, it can always be reversed later on.

I also wholeheartedly agree with Rabbiteyes' comment that far more people transition outside of the sex industry too, which is all the more reason, in my opinion, to push for more tolerance, more acceptance, and for medical insurance to help fund transition.

Not everyone in porn is obsessed with big breast, or you wouldn't be so popular. Even for porn land, some of the hottest women don't have large breast. I don't understand why some people want to look like Barbie dolls. I would prefer a more natural look, but what ever floats their boat.

And Michelle if you feel under appreciated well give me the weekend to show you what I think. :D

It doesn't change the fact Jamie wasn't trans and only did trans for pay. Jamie is a man and as customer I do not want men pretending to be trans. I expect TS woman at TS sites. I pay for TS porn so companies should only shoot TS women. Don't give me bullshit. I am not a gay man. I don't want to see a crossdresser or a man pretending to be trans with a terrible wig on his head.

What if a person joins a gay site and all of a sudden there is a genetic female in the scene? Something is would be wrong. The gay person did not join a gay site to see a female. He joined to see men.

What if a straight guy joined Brazzers and they shoot a gay scene? Nobody joins Brazzers for gay porn because it is a straight company. It would be highway robbery.

as much as i hate to agree with franklin..."jamie markham" is exactly the kind of performer i am referring to. jamie was clearly a boy in a dress and no different than lexx parker or stonie...a boy that looks good in drag. the difference outside of the porn they filmed between "jamie" and lexx on one side vs stonie on the other is that stonie decided to have FFS and breast implantation and is living as a woman now.

other than jamie, there are many popular tranny porn models that fall into this category of "boy in a dress" but the wedge difference is that only TIME can tell if these models are trans-for-pay or serious about becoming the women they dress up to be. if over time a model never takes any legal, psychological and medical steps to transition and only dresses the part, trans-for-pay seems a most appropriate term.

Much like sexuality, maybe gender is a spectrum as well. This can be a touchy subject. I've known some gay men who, I don't know how to say this, just didn't seem like men. I'm not saying they were any less of men, or that all gay men fit this profile. But the way they spoke, their mannerisms, how they dressed, how they walked, it struck me as a combination of male and female. Is this a learned behavior, gay culture, is or there something else going on? I really don't know.

If a TS shows up for a scene and she is still a boy and then goes into bathroom to put up a wig, makeup, lingerie, etc - well thats not a TS, thats a CD. I can understand that point of view from a performer. I hate it when TS' s post their pretransition pics. It usually turns me off. That said , I dont care how the girls I watch live while not on the set. I think Jamie Markham's hot. I dont know if the escorts Ive seen live as women all the time either and I dont think about it. to my knowledge, "detransitioning" has been fairly limited, has it not?

that said, the idea of being trans-for-pay, in the US culture, i think, applies more to models that don't transition and only dress the part. those that are amid transition and revert to being a man might have far different motivation than just money.

i think this really comes down to how you define: transitioning.

if transitioning is the medical and psychological procedure by which a person undergoes counseling, HRT and elective surgeries to change their gender, there are many models out there would qualify as trans-for-pay. (this is the definition i use)

if transitioning is merely acting in accordance with gender you wish to be through what is essentially "dramatic play" then there are not that many trans-for-pay models.

without naming names...we all know models that fall into the latter category...it is just that some of us feel significantly different about these models than others.

I don't remember their name but I once saw a short docu type thing on a black dragqueen who said they totally identified as a male but had gotten very large breast implants, facial surgery, probably more. If I remember right he was a father and dressed male when not performing, even though they looked like a female facially. Kind of different to say the least. I don't judge it at all. I find it extremely fascinating someone would go to such extremes just for their job. I mean I can't imagine not wanting to be a female and getting huge boobs and ffs and the like but still wanting to be a male. Makes for a very interesting topic though. I'd love to sit down and interview such a person.

But had gotten rather large implants so he could be this specialty type drag queen stripper gram type thing. He had long hair and stuff but other than that and the boobs seemed really "guy" like. He said his service was more for the comic effect than being a turn on for the clients. More extreme measures for a job!

i'm not that flexible and my dick is only 7" so it would be difficult to titty fuck myself. i don't think i would want boobs.

now, a longer dick to be able to self suck...that would keep me interested for a few weeks until the novelty wore off

I would probably stare in the mirror for
hours on end and massage them and push them together...lol

It isn't just about having breasts that look like breasts... it also needs hormones to make them more sensitive and turn into erogenous zones (unless you already have sensitive nippies).

eh...my wife sucks the, nibbles on them, twists them, puts clamps on them...all really for her benefit. my nipples are dead to me.

so...in light of recent posts...are we collectively saying that women in transition are easily mimicked by men who strap on a pair of tits and are "going trans" for pay? that isn't what i initially thought we were talking about...i thought we were talking about men in drag...that is those that do not take hormones or have surgeries and only dress up. i think we might have been sidetracked by the issue of "detransitioning" because the entire transition process is not easy and i have to believe that if you end up detransitioning, it is less about the paycheck and more about your psychological makeup.

I've read interviews with people from Philippines and Thailand who claim to have transitioned for financial purposes. Or who focus on the financial rather than the emotional or psychological. One gets the impression these folks don't loathe the sex part of the equation either and that there is some innate affinity for the new gender.

I think in the coverage of that Marine who killed a transgender girl (Jennifer Laude) in the Philippines it was pretty explicit that she was supporting the entire family on escort earnings. And that the family knew this and accepted it with no reluctance due to a lack of other alternatives. It's difficult to imagine someone concluding this was the way to go strictly from a lack of other occupational prospects and absent any sort of personal inclination toward the gender transition. It seems like in very limited cases, typically in poor countries, financial benefit is one of several factors that support the decision to transition rather than anyone's primary motivation.

Most Brazilians. It's a sexually accepting culture. It's easier to find a partner after 'transition' and 'detransition' there than in most other places, so there's less long-term risk and tons of cash to be made.

Jamie Markham was trans for pay. Britney Markham publicly stated on this forum that Jamie is a homosexual and crossdresser. He should have never been photographed and shoot by any company.

Jamie Markham breaks my heart a little. I like CD's, but I thought there was a lot of potential for post-transition. I still enjoy the photos, will most likely continue to enjoy them. So, I'd never go so far as to say he never should have been photographed by any company. But then again, I like to pretend that porn stars actually like anal too, never felt like I needed to push that aside on the off chance they didn't. The Jamie stuff is there on film, it is what it is, regardless of whatever the backstory is. I'm ok with that. Hell, I still jerked it to Chris Crocker in his "freak of nature" music video (I had it on mute, because I'm not into pain), but at that time, CD and hot. Glad its there, I'm happy to still enjoy it.

I absolutely adore trans women, I'm on a mission to find a real connection with one again as I have dated one in the past. I search for the best clubs and locations around the world, but if I get the smallest hint that she is attracted to the paper in my wallet and not my looks and personality, I have no interest.

NYC gives me the impression that all the trans care about is making money, it really is such a turn off which has left me with little desire to travel there. The cost of entry to a club, rates of drinks, the charge of a lapdance is just not reasonable. So you pay to enter and these clubs are packed to the brim with working girls. Looks and personalities are not essential to the t-girls as they entertain old men with enormous bellies. This is pretty much the reason why I gave up on London for trans. I used to head to a club and enjoy myself on every occasion, months past and the women changed. The trans only showed interest for old men, guys in suits and those who were clearly paying.

If anyone has some good stories where they entertained a beautiful trans with good conversation and a few drinks inside a club before going back home for a great time, I am all ears!!!

Good luck to the rest of you desperate men who spend $100s of dollars at brothels and escorts inside a nightclub.

Yes, the delusion is strong with this one. Like a guy who scratches his head complaining that all the girls he meets at the bars are alcoholics and why he can't meet a nice sober girl with suburban values....who frequents city drinking establishments in the wee hours looking for companionship.

1. Expensive cities like LON and NYC force their residents and visitors to think more carefully about $$ than cheap cities.
2. You fundamentally misunderstand the supply side of the equation. Passable pre-op tgirls are statistically unlikely to remain "pre-op" for many years, and achieving passability is rarely instantaneous with the decision to transition. These factors ensure that the demand for passable pre-op tgirls will always oustrip supply.
3. Transitioning is expensive and an impairment to most conventional employment prospects. This establishes the directionality of net fund flows between the two sets of actors.
4. Having dates with tgirls that represent purely social transactions (to the extent any social transaction can be unpolluted by the financial) is done by many people all the time. Your methods are a failure because they are ill-conceived and naive.

Ok, I don't know if you noticed but I originate from London where you will pretty much never bump into a trans at your work place, on the street in the daytime or even a bus ride. I have been to London and SF and LA & NY. My advice is pay to play, and try to get to know one of the girls you like. If you hang out at a bar consistently and aren't a total asshole you can make friends by being friendly and buying your new friend a drink of their choice. Eventually relationships can and will start, but unless you look like Brad Pitt, don't expect working girls to stop working to make you feel better. Also money talks, men, women, trans, everyone is attracted to wealthy individuals on sexual and nonsexual levels. Just having a friend who is a millionaire can be very beneficial for anyone...

In larger urban areas you will also encounter MORE 'out' people since there is greater likelihood of becoming part of a community. So in reality you are in the best place i all of the UK to meet women. If you're truly interested in transgender women then how about joining a support group or getting involved in the things that are important to transgender women. Not the things that YOU think they're interested in: clubs and whoring. If you go to Thailand to find transgender women they will most definitely be interested in you MAINLY BECAUSE YOU'RE A FOREIGNER WHICH EQUALS MONEY-MAKER in their society. You're clearly a fucking yob with a superiority complex: it's all about you and what you want and women should fit into what you want and well if you can't find what you want in London then you'll take your airs and your cock and go to a third-world country where you - incorrectly - believe you will lord it over the women there who will want you because you're a nice guy. religion, family, money, partnership, overall dissatisfaction with the process and/or result...it doesn't really matter. there are also people that have actually reverted to their birth gender AFTER having the reassignment surgery.

these decisions are never superficial and obviously deeply personal so as a porn fan or even proud LGBTQQ advocate, we are not really in a place to question what anyone is going through if they suffer this decision.

Gender and sexuality for many people are represented by two fixed categories: male and female. But the reality is that these are not fixed categories, there are as many categories of identity and behaviour as there are people to invent them. It is only a serious issue for the individual concerned and those closest to them.

Transitioning is the most difficult thing a person can do. It involves changing everything about one's life, and is met almost exclusively with resistance from family, employers, and friends. The suicide and murder rates are incredibly high. Surely these factors weigh heavily on a decision to de-transition.

All of the above posts are accurate. In the interest of education, I'll add what I've been told by may partner.

She was 100% sure that she trans by her early teens. At 16, while still in high school, she tried transitioning. However, she was the target of extreme bullying that frequently crossed the line from being mean spirited to criminal. Matters became so bad that -- at the suggestion of school officials, who explicitly said they were powerless to protect her -- she had to transfer schools her senior year. As a consequence, she decided to de-transition at 17 and went back to presenting as femme gay boi for the duration of high school. This experience was so traumatic that, even after high school, she was too scared to transition, so existed as a femme gay boi for several, and used drag performance as a way to express her female side.

Then, at 20, she began taking hormones (secretly) and growing out her hair, while still living as a femme gay boi, and prepared to re-transition. After a year, though, when it became obvious that she starting her transition, she was confronted and fired by her employer --without notice-- for being trans. (FYI, it's 100% legal for employers to fire employees for being trans in about 50% of U.S. states.) As a result, she became homeless for a while, had to move back home with her family, who are not wealthy people. After paying for basic necessities neither she nor her family could afford things like hormones, testosterone blockers, lawyers fees associated with legal name changes, psychologically necessary cosmetic procedures, etc. In these circumstance, she considered de-transitioning again, fell into a severe clinical depression, and became suicidal.

Around the same time, though, she learned through the t-girl grapevine that she could make money posing for adult websites. So, out of necessity, she financed her transition by doing adult modeling for about 3 years. (Today, she is deeply embarrassed that there are naked pictures of her on the internet.) Once she transitioned full-time and found gainful employment, things got better and she moved on from the adult bizz.

What, I think is important to note about her situation is: 1) she had the emotional support of several family members during that entire tumultuous time; 2) she lived in an area that had lots of resources available for trans people and 3) because she's naturally attractive, even during her early transition, she was passable enough to go about her business without getting clocked and make extra money from doing adult shoots. And yet, she de-transitioned once and considered doing so a second time.

From what I've been told by her, this experience is pretty typical for trans women. So, that is why de-transitioning is not unheard of...
