Try Llelebel, it is small bar so maybe go earlier in the evening, particularly at weekends; it is on Utrechtestraat just off the Rembrandtplein on the right. There used to be a Thai place, the Butterfly Cafe but I am not sure if it is still going.

It is mixed, and as with the WayOut in London and venues in other cities, all sorts of people go there, but it is small. You never know who is going to turn up, you might get lucky. The alternative would be a gay bar I suppose. I have seen drag queens there, and 'full time' transexuals if the term must be used in that way, effeminate men, etc. It is Amsterdam after all...

Lellebel is bar for transvestites, also you can't swing a cat in there like in most bars in Holland. I have never really heard of typically transgender-oriented places in Holland. Most of them were just friendly cafes. There was a really nice club in Eindhoven - Le Pecheur - but they shut it down. Now its just the Pallaz and de Buurvrouw, but again, those are gay clubs for men and women respectively. I remember that Amsterdam was packed with places like that, but none of them seemed to aim at transgenders. What you may try is go to a parenclub which stands for swingers' club. Some of them hold 'tranny nights' for example. Again, these are scattered around the Netherlands.

Coming back to the topic, Mekhong is one place where you can sometimes see shemales. It is situated not far away from the RLD but i cant remember the street. I think if you google it its the one at Oudezijds Voorburgwal 32 but I'd have to see it to remember and know for sure:p

There were some events but those were more for ts looking to meet other ts and exchange experience or get some info.
