I recall a recent case involving Canada in which it was revealed that governments traded medical database information.

I wonder if that sort of invasion informed the actions that the Canadian authorities took.

What's going on in Canada these days? Was this uninformed and dumb conduct by immigration officials or have they tightened their immigration laws so that ridiculous and potentially dangerous situations like this can occur?

Most un-Canadian in my experience.
