Is There A Rule About Posting Pics From The Net?

I just ask as a couple of pics I've posted in topics, 1 in the pic of the day thread where I posted a pic of Bailey, and in the selfie thread I posted one of a tgirl selfie, and they have both been taken down.

I'm not complaining, I just wondered if there's something I should be aware of in regards to this so I don't make the same mistake again. Both were just linked from external sites, I thought maybe the sites in question may be the reason, as I'm sure I've seen pics of Bailey around.

Linking never seems to work for me. It temporarily shows the image, then it vanishes. I click the "Go Advanced" button, then to "Manage Attachements" and upload from my desktop. Hope this helps!

I usually just download the image to 'MY Pictures' ,than if I want to post a picture in a message I use 'Go Advanced' and 'Manage attachments' ,as you said.
