The other day I received an email to join Amy Daly's Site. Seeing as she has been a long time favorite of mine and the price was only $19.99, I decided to join. In the promo it guaranteed a new set every week. Well there has been only 1 new set since the end of July and that was in November. On top of that, the downloads of the videos and zip files are terribly slow, like an hour for a video clip and 10 minutes or more for a zip files. Just thought I would pass this along.

my advice is that you should ask here before joining ANY solo site. i find very little value in many of them despite how hot the model might be...too many solo sites out there lack of regular content and/or have sub-par quality so there are only a few i would actually recommend. others may be far more forgiving than me but for my porn dollar...i expect that you live up to your advertising at a minimum.

if there is a solo site that has very infrequent updates and you are a dissatisfied customer, how is that any different than walking into a restaurant and getting stale food?

if you have a site that is actively being advertised, then you should actively have content on it. I can't believe that some of these solo sites actually have more than a handful of rebills because i would hope that a discerning consumer would voice their disapproval with lack of updates or quality (if that is how they feel) by canceling. i am sure there are some idiots out there that either out of blind love or having the spare cash, don't cancel and are rebilled for terrible sites but they (hopefully) are the minority of porn subscribers.

Guys lie about themselves all the time to get girls to ummm... shell out (just as some girls misrepresent themselves through their sites to get people to sign up). It is the same basic premise. It wasn't meant to be taken all that seriously but there are clear parallels.

We can debate the finer points if you'd like but if every guy was honest here, and would admit it, I'd say that (especially online), probably less than 40% of what guys actually say (i.e. - from income levels to "I am 8 inches") is actually true.

Heck... on this board alone there are so many doctors and "psychology" experts, that it is a wonder that there are any health problems left in the world.

I'm not defending the site's apparent lack of updates at all, I'm just saying... there is a slight double standard in complaining about it on a public forum when you could contact customer service via Grooby privately just as easily and be done with it.

Not sure what contacting Grooby customer service would do. I doubt if they would issue a refund. Actually considering the $20 it cost me, I feel I did get my $20 worth. I just don't like being lied to plus I feel that it is part of being of good forum member to bring these things to the attention of other board members.

at times, i believe they have allowed you to choose another site for a 1 month pass. i am not saying it is guaranteed, but it is worth a shot to voice your displeasure.

You're assuming it was a "lie". I would actually surmise that it is an automatic mailer sent out to past customers and probably an oversight. If indeed, Amy is no longer updating the site, then probably the verbiage used hasn't been updated either.

I have no problems with people returning items that haven't met their particular like / criteria... I do think it is a problem when it is publicly complained about without letting the owner / operator have a fair go to try and make it right FIRST. Then, if you're still unsatisfied... have at the public world.

In this particular case, I would venture a 99% guess that had you told your story to Grooby CS, they would have made it right with you... end of story.

Anyway, your original point is a good one, and I agree, the verbiage of the site should be changed to reflect how the site currently operates. The problem is probably that girls come and go so frequently. I think there was a period when Amy "un-retired" and continued to update the site regularly... then it fell off again (around February of last year if memory serves me correctly). Perhaps the hope was that she would yet again "un-retire" since a splattering of sets on other porn sites have released since then.

Anyway, that is to my point that without knowing the specifics, it's hard to make the blanket statement of "lie" (a strong word in my book - especially if you're accusing a business of using them to lure members). Just get the whole story first before you make judgements is my point.

Rally, I usually do research stuff beforehand but being as this was a Grooby site, I didn't feel that research would be necessary.

I guess I didn't realize that. I stand corrected. I'd say she should change the copy of her site, but I still stand by the principle of girls using sites as archives and updating less often than they used to. The market doesn't seem to justify more than two updates a month right now. In fact, I've already cut down my own schedule to 1-2 updates a month until things pick up again.

We advise all the models to update weekly and that's meant to be a condition of the Grooby Network models all of whom do a great job. Amy's site is earlier than those sites though so has a different set-up.
However, for the massive amount of exclusive material you get on her site, anyone complaining about a one-off membership really has nothing to complain about. If you get rebilled on it and were expecting updates regularly, then I can see the problem - and as ever, we'd take care of you at our customer service.

I'll speak to Amy about changing the site to more of an archive like the HazelTucker site which had hours of great exclusive footage PLUS all the Grooby footage of Hazel.

No, I get that. I was just using this example to partially explain why there are lot of girls, myself included, updating less than weekly. If they know, maybe they'll actually drop the tube sites and support the artists... although I doubt it. :lol:
