Someone who hardly spent any time with you when you were alive or another character who continues to share way too many intimate moments with you after you died?

since there is no life after death...the bigger prick is the one that annoyed you whilst you walked the earth.

In that case you're exonerated, doctor. Carry on.

we could share a dos equis and some tacos.

That sounds good to me. Eat, drink, and be tender to the already tenderized.

Chipotle was my Disappointment Of 2013. I'll trade you some good LA Tacos for some good NYC Pizza.

I'd think you could get a good one in Downey. Many of the Food Trucks out here are becoming popular and all over the place selling good tacos. There is a Oaxacan Market that has a little kitchen in the back on Venice Bl by Sepulveda that makes great ones.

The best Mexican I have ever had in LA was always at La Talpa. However I have not been there in years. Reviews are pretty good, tho.

Thanks for an excellent tip. I've eaten at Don Antonio's but need to go next door to La Talpa. I can always go for a good burrito. So strange how a thread can segue from necrophilia into culinary. Both fairly appetizing.

Can't avoid it...all the direct flights from that airport to New York leave that time...didn't want to use LAX.

Please let us know. It's been 25 years or so, I started going there maybe around '70-71. It became our favorite hangout and was where I bought my first drink. Up til then they were illegal drinks. :)

I will post my review. Probably go there this week. Getting that burrito.

I'm an El Coyote guy. Been eating there since I was a kid in a highchair sitting with my folks. Over on Beverly Bl west of La Brea.

Went over to La Talpa the other day. Nice, small place directly next door to another Mexican place, Don Antonio's. Not very busy so I had plenty of time to order and chat about the place. Got my Burrito and left.

Got it home and it looked pretty much like the picture even though it was slamming back and forth in the truck during the ride home. Big burrito and very dense. Opened it up and had lots of shredded beef. Poured the green salsa on and ate it.

I rather enjoyed it. Very filling, for sure. The spice on the meat was a little different but still good. I also like the "wet topping" of sauce and cheese.

I would visit La Talpa again. This week I think I'll go to Gilbert's on Pico east of Cloverfield.

my cousin just went on a pizza tour this summer though i have not been on one.

her's started in manhattan with traditional ny pizza, trekked across the village for non-traditional ny pizza (fancy stuff) then to brooklyn for more regular ny pizza and i think that's where it ended...i'll get the link as she loved it.

I miss Chicago Pizza Works out here. Over on Pico east of Barrington. They had great deep-dish pizza and a massive selection of beers. I worked for this gym and, whenever we had a work meeting, they were nice enough to treat us there including the beer. Good memories of a great pizza joint. Wonder where to get a good deep-dish pie in LA now?

fyi...chicago style oven baked flatbread with toppings on it is a poor excuse for pizza. ny is the pizza capital of the world. chicago can suck it and don't even get me started on bastardized pizza like CPK, dominos, papa johns and the hut. that's like comparing walmart brand frozen salisbury steak to a peter luger porterhouse (PL is the only michelin starred steakhouse in the country)

I'm pretty easy when it comes to pizza but Papa John's is still terrible. Now I'm hungry for Salisbury Steak.

Yeah
