Hope Ditka is the driver angrily chewing on his gum while looking at his watch waiting for the date to end so he can meet Dennis Franz for a midnight steak dinner.

But Dino, the point is that there are plenty of men who want that, however eccentric it may seem to you. I have only heard of the Fridge because he was with the Cowboys (?) when they came to London at a time when there was an attempt (failed) to make American Football popular over here.

As Jim Kirk is always saying, Dino, the ultimate goal of mankind is to boldly go where no one has gone before! Conquer the mountains!

Howie Long once told me he had to lock up the goldfish when Tony Dorsett came over. My standards might be low but I do have some. I pass on the stinkface.

Well I gotta say she put her preference out there.....she likes white boys so I have to respect her desires and take a step back so Dino can step up.

Ain't slander if it's true.

She gotta catch this White boy first even though her price is in my wheelhouse.

Would she go for a half-honky?

Bears, Cowboys, Cubs...Packers...it's all so confusing; and no the shuffle passed me by, looks as bad as the pop records English football teams used to market...desperate.

Who needs gridiron when we've got rugby, the sport for REAL men?

But didn't Rugby League 'go American' and give silly names to their teams to make the game more popular?

Yes they did. I played Union and would still rather watch it than any other team sport. Sadly, I've moved to an area that's all League :( .

Yes, those were the good old days ... It seems it was only about a month ago that the Jaguars lost to the 49ers, 42-10 in Wembley Stadium

I wonder how many people like me have even heard of that event? It wasn't in the papers, it wasn't on tv, etc etc. Just a jolly foreign trip for the players and probably a tax deductible item in the US.

I've heard that line of bull so many times. Since the sports are different what contest of savagery would you agree to to prove who the real man is?

In fact Rugby Union is now being criticised for hiring players by the pound -there was a time when France had a team that was made of lithe swift-footed and intelligent players; tv ratings I guess need brawls, blood and not much in the way of brains. You might not be aware of it Dino, but Rugby Union was the preserve of lads from private schools and grammar schools, which is why many upper class twits used to look down on football and Rugby League as being too 'plebeian'. In all the years I spent in a school in the UK I never saw a rugby ball. I failed my 11-plus, that's why, and my father didn't send me to Eton. Not a few Rugby and Cricket players had university degrees. Class might not be as important as it once was, but some of it still lingers.
