I never really took to the term 'shemale' and always thought of it as a sort of derogatory term. Somewhat like calling a dyke a 'tuna tomboy' or a gay guy a 'ham slammer'. :?

Ladyboy is pretty much a cultural term (And doesn't sound as goofy as 'shemale') and T-girl doesn't seem to exude the disrespect (Or, as the case may be, commercial/entertainment aspect) that 'shemale' does.

'Shemale' is akin to something Phineas Taylor Barnum might have come up with, like 'monkeyboy'. :roll:

I don't see anything wrong with the term Shemale. I suppose just Girl or Woman would be better, but in a situation where a person has to get technical about certain personal details, I don't think too many TS girls are opposed to the shemale term.

Shouldn't we have a poll or something related to this? Actually, I'd bet there probably is somewhere.

I say a girl calls herself whatever she feels comfortable with. Guys should simply address them with the phrase "Hey, what's happening?"
