...I'm just gonna let the little 3D figure I made of myself do my modeling for me.

Very cleaver, Jamie, but far from being as pretty as you are.

Ok well, that sucks because I spent a lot of time putting that together. 'Pretty' is the easy way out... the program I work in comes per-configured to do pretty. I want better, I want to get as close as I can to what shows up in my bathroom mirror every morning. What about the figure needs work? Every couple weeks I return to it to chip away at the perfections.

The face is quite resembling. But the body seems a bit thicker than yours, less suple or less delicate. Of course, it's a 3d drawing, I guess it must be tough to give it the same kind of life.
Your own back also seems to have a bit more curve (am I fantasizing?).
As I was saying, the face is impressively resembling but once again, it's a bit too strong. You are more delicate than this.
Yet, I didn't want to give you the impression that it wasn't good. You're showing your usual self: this is very creative, Jamie, and very well done. I look forward to see more.

Awesome! Like Dan said, the face is recognizably you. The hair is quite natural. I probably wouldn't wear a sleeve quite that thick...but I do want those shoes.

The clothes are just me experimenting with different kinds of shaders... I was trying to get things to look like they were made out of PVC, then it kinda became a whole picture.

Two more... that's it, this was just supposed to be a one off anyhow.

Very nice. The top one, especially, is absolutely stricking. It's comming close to an authentic portrait. And in this one, the movement is so fluid. The eyes turned to our left creates a great feeling of suspended life.

Still working on it... the nose shouldn't look as upturned as it does from that angle, and I'm not really getting the sense of the bump at the bridge of my nose. From the side it looks bang on, but from a high angle the illusion is kinda broken. Back to work.

Yeah, all I have to do is stick one on. I have all sorts to choose from.

....What about the figure needs work? .

....not much...coupla things missing: the ever popular bulge, and maybe some nip pokies (don't know why that gets me salivating...everybody's gottem)
...love the shiny look...the colors are nice, but my own personal preference is for black or red latex/PVC type attire
...apart from that...A Plus, babe...fine rendering
...meanwhile, you may already be familiar w/ the Dutch artist 4F...if not, he might make for an interesting Google in your spare time....Rick F. van Koert

That's not what I'm looking for. The things you mentioned have nothing to do with the structure and execution of the model... those are just things you like.

I don't know what those two pictures you posted were but they aren't very good examples of 3D modeling. The first one looks like lazy fan-boy Photoshop and the second is the definition of 'meh'.

Here's some random examples of what the good stuff looks like... (some of them I made.)

...if I may quote your illustrious Governor...oops, my bad. Not exactly the kind of feedback you were looking for, evidently

...then again, maybe not so much

...that's gotta be worth a point or two towards the cutting of a little slack....no?
Some o that stuff is a bit gruesome for my taste, but I really do admire your work

Absolutely great! I love this stuff! The leggy characters have so much movement they seem palpitating.

I'm not mad, that's just how my posts go before I've had coffee.
I like the 3D stuff because of the fact that you can make gruesome, outlandish things and it's all just a bunch of ones and zeros...
