Lou Reed is always being portrayed in the media as homosexual, but in most of his songs he reflects on CDs/DQs. Just wondering if he was more into transgendered persons than being attracted to men.

I've not seen him represented as homosexual. I think he had a fluid sexuality - and was drawn to TS girls as well as genetic girls. Never saw any evidence of him getting it on with the likes of Joe Delassandro or Gerard Malanga or whoever.

Over here in the States Lou Reed has been regularly described as gay in his obituaries.

They reference he was given electro-shock therapy as a teenager per the request of his parents to rid him of his homo-erotic tendencies.

I can't say I've ever heard much about him being gay, but I do live in a somewhat bluish state (Pennsylvania). It wouldn't surprise me if it gets brought up more in the red states where they get hung up on such things.
