I really don't see it. I guess I believe it b/c I've been told alot. Maybe I see my flaws too much... Like about 5 years ago I took a big hit to my self esteem when my face was fractured in multiple places. My cheekbone all the way back thru my jaw, and my eyesocket from the bottom of it extending to the top. And a bone in my nose. I have screws & metal plates all around my eye/cheek on the right side of my face & a mesh underneath my eye. I was supposed to have a 2nd follow up surgery to remove some of the metal and finalize a few things based on how the bones healed up, but I lost my insurance and just went without it ever since. They did a good job once the first surgery but i don't look quite the way i used to. :/

And I hate my concave chest b/c it makes your ribs stick out & squish your midsection so no matter how skinny I make myself, it'll always look like i have a little trailer park gut. Even if i'm unhealthily underweight. i hate that

So yea I want to have work done to fix those things & get breast implants obviously. Thanks for being so nice to me tho!

This reminds me of something a trans friend once said to me about how she didn't truly understand eating disorders and other body image disorders until she was mid-transition. The intense insecurity that comes with early and mid-transition does seem to create distortions in the perception transwomen have of themselves: like an anorexic, what we see in the mirror quite literally does not match reality. I see you and I see an incredibly beautiful girl, who, if this whole trans thing isn't an elaborate ruse, should have no trouble passing. Likewise, I often look in the mirror and am revolted by what I see, only able see my old male self. What's the difference in our perceptions? We're looking at ourselves, and the trauma of being trans has distorted how we see ourselves to the point that we're no longer objective observers.
