My hobby is making mod's for games.
I've been doing this a while with other games and I'm currently making a big mod pack for Team Fortress 2.
I do anything that range from creating models, skins, sound files, GUI, programming, lighting detail, etc.
This current project I'm doing is about 70% done, but I still need to make about 150 more audio files to polish the game play (adding a new GUI is a possibility as well).
The mod over-covers a game-mode in Team Fortress 2 called "Man vs. Machine". It's basically a co-op game-mode where you team up with people online to fight against waves of robots.
This mode replaces the robots with clone zombies for a different taste of the action.
It's also based around the concept of another Valve game called "Portal". In "Portal" there is an AI that guides you through the game as both your friend/enemy. I wanted to see if I could re-create a similar "AI" voice from scratch. The problem is in "Portal" the AI isn't made from scratch and is in-fact a real person's voice edited, however; I have think i have created the best representation the AI.
The AI voice files replace the announcers voice files in Man vs. Machine. The twist of this is that the announcer in the original game is very supporting and encourages you, where in the mod the AI acts against you and you have to beat whatever is thrown at you.
Here are some before and after pictures of what I have made for the mod:
This is the tank, sentry buster, and carrier I reskinned to give them a more rust feel:

Here are some sound file samples out of many I have made. These are all made from scratch AI simulation:

Game History
Team Fortress 2 is a game I personally love to play. I have been playing it since it was released.
This game was in development for nearly 10 years before being released in 2007.
The game consists of 9 playable classes and is multiplier only.
This is the 2007 trailer: [SFM] Team Fortress 2 Trailer 2 Remake (Complete) - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGGf5dwfi6Y)
As of this post there has been 372 updates to the game and 25 major game file updates since 2007.
Valve has made millions off this game per year. They actually made so much in 2012 they released it free to the public for life and have had their profits grow drastically in item sales since (which are not required to play or affect the game-play).
I personally love this game because it's so artistic. In 2007 it used half life 2 physics which was ground breaking, and amazing lighting/light warps/shading/color. This game literally looked nothing else at the time and was one of a kind (obviously since there has been a few cheap copies because of Valve's success).
Each class is unique to the game and use a different accent from all over the globe, making the game lovable no matter where you're from.
Classes: Scout, Demoman, Pyro, Engineer, Heavy, Soldier, Medic, Sniper, Spy
It's hard to believe this game started in progress 16 years ago and is still growing strong with over 3 thousand servers.
