I ain't no car fan either... so maybe a thread of pictures of cars can be created so the rest of us don't fall asleep at our keyboards
Yup...but I won't fall asleep!

My first contribution? I LOVE old-school mid-1970s Cadillacs. Even though they didn't handle worth of shit, drank gas like it was going out of fashion (500 c.i. V8!), and was essentially a more expensive Buick Electra 225/Oldsmobile 98...I'd STILL drive one today.

Blue California tags, please!

Land yacht ! Nice.
I love the old Cadillacs. I'm also one of those people who would rather spend thousands to maintain a car properly and keep it on the road and looking good ,than trade it in just because something expensive needs fixing.
Here's what I drive. Heavy ,but drives like a sports car. "Not your father's Cadillac"
2000 Cadillac ETC.

Well I'm not going to afford a fancy daily driver. So I'm hoping to get my hands on a Lotus 7 kit. I could build it up and rip around on it at the track. They are reallly fast.

Is it a hurse?

Mine was a hearse, the one in the pic/on eBay is a combination hearse/ambulance. My first one, a '70, was a combo. The floor panels with the casket rollers flip over to smooth tile, there is a set of fold-down jump seats for the attendant/EMT, and some of them have removable landau panels to cover the rear windows when in a funeral procession.

The '65s were especially unique in that Cadillac had restyled its line from the finned '64s to the new, straight lined 65/66 style. The matching Fleetwood '75 limousine, however, was still in the '64 fin design as Caddy had abandoned the stock limousine and handed it over to coach builder Lehman-Peterson for the '65 model year. LP backed out and handed it back to Caddy, too late for the new body dies to be stamped, so the '65 limo was just a '64 with trim tweaks. Made them a little out of place in a funeral when the hearses and flower cars were being turned out in the new style.

You DO know the 1976 Fleetwood Series 75 was as big as they got, right?

Of course, some were made even longer than stock...

Like I said...I'd roll one of these today, gas prices be damned!

Yah, I had three of the stock 75 limousines (The formal, with the divider), two '66s and one '68. I played with a '77 when they first came out, but was very disappointed in it. The design sucked and they were just plain cheap. The divider was a stationary partition with manual sliding glass. They were more like riding in a taxi than a limo and I was surprised that the model survived another ten years before succumbing to the growing stretch market.

I do miss those cars, though not the gas mileage. It didn't hurt so much at the ballbreaking rate of $0.62 US a gallon, but I measured one out at 9 MPG on a good day. I can't remember which one I did the math on, but it might have been my '70 commercial chassis combo. It had the largest, meanest power plant of all my Caddys with a custom-bored 505. The limos had 429s and a 472, as did the hearses. I think my ambulance had a 472 as well.

Ah, the toys I had. :)

Such a shame that 472 (and the Eldo's 500) had such low power considering the size...

Even though the early part of my life included riding around in a Plymouth Satellite (with the lowly 318), I'm not really a hardcore Mopar guy. Not that they didn't make some nice cars. That Challenger and of course the same vintage Barracuda are BOSS.

And to think a former neighbor actually HAD a Hemi Challenger CONVERTIBLE back in the day...I wonder if he sold it?

Speaking of Mopars, a few of the cars I love to hate are the 1969-1974 "fuselage-styled" full-sized models. A former classmate has a 1972 Imperial LeBaron sedan (similar to the one pictured). His is mildly modified...he dropped in a 440 Six-Pack, complete with better carburetors for more power. To me it looks ugly, especially when compared to contemporary Cadillacs and Lincolns, which were Imperial's American competitors. I've riden in it a few times; no denying it that thing rides SMOOTHLY.

But it's still a huge gas-guzzler that has it's best performance when going in a straight line. You'll be comfortable though!

Could these even FIT on the streets of London?

Scouts, the original Bronco, Jeep CJ5s, Land Rover Defenders, Land Cruisers - and I mean older models - are FUN!

Notice I didn't mention the original Chevy Blazer/GMC Jimmy. They're nice yes, but too big compared to those other models.

Yah, their post-war designs were lacking. They shipped their last, best efforts off to Moscow with the Marshall Plan. The Soviets loved Packards so much that they kept on making them with the old body dies.

I wouldn't mind a spin in this '46 Packard, though. One of Canadian Pacific's inspection cars (Though my favorite is still their '48 Cadillac 75).

There's always a spot in my heart for famous F-bodies. They actually sold replicas if that car; everything worked except for the ejector seat, the self-driving, and if course the talking.

That show was cool...until they fucked with KITT making him a convertible with active aero...

The remake where they tried to use a PONY sucked rusty balls by the way...

Just came back from the local cafe where I was listening to Kenny Jones et all and saw a gorgeous late-30's Bentley parked in front of my house.
I took a couple of pix with mky own camera, but the lighting sucked. :( It was similar in both appearance and condition to the one in this image:

I'm what some people call a "car freak". All of my cars are easily recognizable and there is a pretty good chance if you live in so cal, you've likely seen them at some point lol.

So I am going to post pics of cars that I have but they aren't mine I just grabbed them off google since I'm not really wanting to post mine up (I did have a stalker once after posting a pic of me on my motorcycle so not doing that again).

I have a 1991 Nissan 240sx S13 with a v8 conversion (LS2). it looks a lot like the pic i posted except I have the s13 front end with the flip up headlights.

I just got a 2013 Scion FR-S a few months ago. already lowered and has the rocket bunny body kit on it. got rid of those ugly wheels and some nice sticky tires.

I just sold my motorcycle and am looking at maybe getting the new KTM 450SMR super moto

Ah, yes...the Nissan 180sx/200sx/240/sx/Silvia...I know quite a few folks that have one.

You usually hear about the S13, S14, and S15...but what about the late-80s S12? They were cool too!

I prefer the 1965-66 models; that "forward-look" wasn't my bag...

But then you miss out on the 472 engine, and those nice back fins / bumper.

True that...the 472 had BALLS...before all of the smog equipment and compression-lowering...

Though my fave was the '66, my first limousine was a '68. Nice year, nice car. I bought it from a mechanic that used to go camping in it. :) Not to worry, he and his son kept it nice and clean.

Such a shame that 472 (and the Eldo's 500) had such low power considering the size...

Not the 1968-1970 models. Those were the first three years and the only years with high compression engines that put out nearly 400 HP and almost 555p lb-ft of torque. Put a slightly more sharp cam and dual exhaust and you are easily over 400HP.
