Where do you click to do it?

How much does it run you?

Does deleting my account include deleting all of my posts as well?

Thanks.

We don't delete accounts - or posts.
They will sink into oblivion if you leave them alone.

It does, but I prefer Skyrim, the graphics are vastly improved and the gameplay has been streamlined...

You can leave for a while (we do miss you so), but don't close the door. I always leave the back door unlocked (so I can get screwed in the ass).

Is there at least some way that I can shut off the option for people to send me a PM? I don't want people thinking that they have an option to contact me here. I don't want to hear someone telling me "I tried contacting you on HA but..."

I want them to know it's a dead end; so they don't even bother writing. Is that possible? I don't see a setting for it.

If you go to the "private messages" section of your profile you can click on "profile privacy" on the left side of the page. The first line in the "profile privacy" section is "contact info". You can change this to "your friends" so that only your friends can PM you. Of course, if you unfriend everyone then no one will be able to write you.
I'm not 100% sure this will work but I think it will.

you could also just tell the people that tell you they tried contacting you on HA that you're no longer active on the forum.

Don't sign in?

Why are you visiting the board if you want zero contact?

Even if you block everyone, they can always start a thread saying "I tried contacting you on HA but..."

You can check out but you can never leave. Unless you just leave.

PS Nice to hear from you. :D

Thanks for the advice. I just don't want to have any unread mail here, which people IRL are still occasionally wasting their time on writing and sending me. Beyond that, there was no reason to log back in.

But I'll try your advice. I had already deleted everyone from the list so that should work well. Thanks again.

Awesome, BreeTexas. I found it and tried your advice. And I think you're right. That should work.

Despite all the hype about everything you type being out there forever, I think it does. For example, try to find something you posted to facebook in 2007. Yeah, it's out there, but trying to find it is SO difficult that for all intents and purposes, it's not possible.

It's like worrying about someone finding a grain of sand that has since been tossed on the beach.

Obviously, a big fucking waste of time. People are still writing me and I deleted everyone from my friend list about 2 yrs ago. But ok. Thanks anyway.

I think posts will be there to such times as the website closes.

You download your archive and search that with a text browser. (Gear Icon > Account Settings > Download a copy of your Facebook data.) Admittedly the public Facebook interface makes this mysterious.
