so has anyone heard about this foolishness?
in a country of nothing but immigrants you think people would be a bit more tolerant and understanding.america is a melting pot of countless of countless races and ethnicity.
some want to claim that he should of choose an outfit that represented american culture but im a bit baffled on what exactly constitutes traditional american culture? hot dogs and baseball caps or peace pipes and sweat lodges lmaoo
the truth of the matter is that very few of us are native to this continent and the only people who may even have a possible leg to stand on were almost made extinct by the arrival of the british colonist..opps..im mean americans

on the board index, all you can read as the thread title is "mexican boy faces" and then it cuts off. I was pretty relieved to see the actual thread title. haha

anyway, yeah that's just ridiculous. the kid handled that with more class than any of his detractors ever could have. His anthem was amazing too. I cant believe a 10 year old could have such an amazing stage presence.

I found it funny that the eleven year old came off as smarter than the people who complained. Props to him for taking the high road.

I think a lot of that is media created shit. The people at the arena cheered pretty loudly. On line commentary - often, but not always, due to anonymity - had some awful comments...but that's true of almost anything nowadays - read Yahoo comments after divisive news stories.

I love Mariachi..and Ranchera music. It's totally cool.
Vicente Fernandez and son Alejandro, Pepe Aguilar and the lovely Ana Gabriel are all pretty awesome.
My only critique is that the young man should have had "the hat".
You gotta wear the "too tight to breathe" outfit and the sombrero..
....gotta have the sombrero.

Kid was cool though....Johnny Cash cool.

Good for that kid. Prejudice is everywhere. Some get it on the internet and some wander into the wrong neighborhood getting feces hurled at them. Anything can happen anywhere done by anybody nowadays.
