Sort of. The original with Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder was made in 1968 I think. Then in the early 2000's it was made into a Broadway musical, then back into a movie based on the musical, starring Matthew Broderick and the loathsome Nathan Lane. The only one worth it's salt is the original. Fuck the remake.

I'm sorry! I'm not a great fan of Mel Brooks. But I still enjoyed a couple of his films. The one I prefer is probably "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World", just for the idea of it all. I remember watching this one stone and drunk a couple of times years ago. Lots of fun!
