Anything from TS Seduction j/k

Really, there aren't too many "chick-flicks" within the TS genre. It's a market that needs to be tapped. Those TransRomantic videos are great when you're trying to break your "fantasy" to your significant other...

Soldier's Girl... but I can't decide if I'm being ironic or not. It was gruesome at the end, but it was still a love story.

"trans romantic" is perhaps the only company that puts the romanticism, the well-worn concept of "hits takes". a shame, should be more such companies.

See we had 'The Crying Game' and 'Soldier's Girl'. Also another UK film, 'It's Different for Girls' was very good. Really struggling after that, sorry.

Contribution from French culture, a thriller presenting t-women in a pretty sweet and sour litght, "Mauvais Genres" (2001) by Francis Girod, and the very tender "Le Sexe des Étoiles" (1993) by Paule Baillargeon. Couldn't find translations of the tittles. It would be, respectively, "Wrong (or Bad) gender" and "The Sex of the stars"...

I'm working on it. I've already cast Venus Lux, Sarina Valentina, and Denni (for the scenes I'm shooting at Air Canada Centre; still looking for two other girls). Lets just say the plot has to do with a flight attendant...big budget, sjot on location in Toronto, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and of course Los Angeles...and a soundtrack with help from Ryder Monroe (who also has a cameo). I'm taking my time because I want it to be PERFECT. I hope my budget holds up!

soldier's girl is really a love story that you could substitute other issues (nazi and a jew, white and a black, etc) and the story could still be the same...mitigating factors that interfere with people in love. that it is based on a true story makes it even more compelling

the crying game is really a love story where the "twist" is less important than "jimmy's" desire to protect dill due to his sense of responsibility and camaraderie.

the issue with both movies is that like many unresolved love stories, they both have a violent turn. Princesa had its moments but ultimately, it too is a tragedy in the end. Then there is M. Butterfly....i see a trend here. transgender movies never seem to have a happy ending.

To which one must add Ma vie en rose (Alain Berliner, 1997) which is one of the most sensitive and intelligent films on the subject and rare as it concerns a small child. The other French film which is also one of the most accurate films about transexuals and their admirers is Priceless (Hors de Prix, Pierre Salvadori, 2006)

The Crying Game is a poor film by any standards -the Provisionals rarely if ever kidnaped British soldiers; the scene where Dil reveals herself causing Fergus to dash into the loo to vomit is unrealistic and a cop-out: in many cases it would result in violence, or curiosity -but vomiting?

In any case, if you ask transexuals, it will be The Devil Wears Prada, 21 Dresses, and Sex in the City. Other than that, the ts I know prefer violent action films, and vampire stuff I know nothing about.

Thanks Tim ... yep Strella. it is about a transsexual escort in Athens but it has a great storyline, great central performance by a transsexual actress and feels authentic.

Point taken, I was including it as an example of film regardless of the genre; it is, anyway, a beautiful film. I don't think ts are into romantic films, most of the girls I have known are either into violent action films or vampire stuff, as I said before.

I didn't see Priceless, but you're absolutely right about Ma Vie en Rose, Stavros. It's a beautiful, deeply mooving film. This one I would recommend to anyone who's interrested in transsexuality.

Does "The Badge" with Billy Bob Thornton count? Interesting film about the investigation of the murder of a transgendered lady but it's not very romantic.
