View Full Version : If I get an orchi, will it hurt my adult entertainment chances?

Hi guys, ladies!

I've been thinking of getting an orchi, so I can a) stop taking my spironolactone, b) tuck easier, and c) just get rid of those useless dangly bits.

But I'm wondering if this will affect my chances in adult acting, as I won't be able to cum anymore.

Any info?

That's probably the least of your worries.

Yeah. I'm more worried about the expense and recovery. I'd still like to know.

With respect, you don't have a career in the porn industry.
Also it's unlikely that you will have a "career" in the porn industry. You may get some shoots but making a career out of it is unlikely.
Not cumming would affect the amount of shoots you could get.

From what I understand, you're recently transitioned so taking a step like this so early, would be something that would need thinking a lot, have some counseling and seek advice from others. Your career in the porn industry should be the last thing on your mind when making this decision - but you know that right? You just wanted to seek some attention.

I'm currently working towards a biotechnology degree. I have a real career in my sights. I'd do porn as a side-diversion, do a shoot once in a while to make some extra cash.

You lost me...why would getting an orchid, or even liking them, hurt your chances in AE?

Corran

What I don't get...don't bitch slap me people...is why would you want to deprive yourself of the ability to cum just for cosmetic purposes.

LibertyHarkness
05-23-2013, 01:52 PM
your incorrect corran , an orchi is not about cosmetic appearance.. its about improving your liver health from prolonged use of hormones ..

I take alot of hormones and in doing so I am hurting my liver quite significantly over time .. an orchi allows me to reduce the hormone intake to low levels as i have removed the bulk of my bodies ability to produce testerone, so hence forth I dont need to hammer up blockers to bring my testerone levels down to make my estrogen levels of intake more effective ..

Also dont forget for many TS women they actually dont care for their cock, myself I have a cock, do i wish I didnt , yes i would love to not have it and be complete .. but at moment i need my cock as it makes me money/savings and once I am stable I will get shot of it . as it will eventually be ineffective anyway with prolonged use of hormones anyway. so most TS will lose the ability to cum regardless ...

In summary -

Orchi = physical castration no semen as such, can still cum but a clear liquied, many castrated girls still get hard etc ..

Hormones = chemical castration, no semen, no hardons or very few over time ..

End result is the same thing .

Hope that helps you better understand . x

I believe it's something to do with testosterone production...Though i could be wrong! :shrug

Thank you Liberty I am now smarter for having visited this forum today. I didn't know liver damage was a side effect to hormone use. In that case I would have to advise to do what's best for one's overall health.

btw, you are a beautiful and magnificent woman Ms. Harkness.

You're a good guy Corran so I dont mind repeating:

only about 15% of ejaculate comes from the testes.

Transwomen on feminising hormones (which suppress testosterone) can still cum, and orgasm, but usually have trouble getting and staying hard.

Removing the testes still allows them to orgasm and cum, and may actually make it easier to erect, since the chemical testosterone blocker can be dropped.

T-blockers fuck up the liver after a while, but estrogen doesn't--natal women produce it all their lives. There are some enhanced risks but a transwoman's risk is in line with a cis-woman's, and other risks, eg heart disease, may be reduced.

The big concern with orchi is that the scrotal skin is used to construct the neo-vagina in SRS, and since it will shrink when the testes are removed, this means less skin= potentially less vaginal depth. But I am sure those clever chaps in Thailand are working on this.:wiggle:

Thanks for the kind words. This information has also helped me figure out why, when Sarina or Hazel Tucker cum on film there's not a lot and it's crystal clear. Less vaginal depth really wouldn't be too much of a problem, would it? :p

My transition is my #1. I was just asking a question.

I'd much rather prefer to be an interventional radiologist, biotech scientist, financial professional, or lawyer than be a porn star! Honestly, one of those four has been my dream since I was little.

With social medias, TS groups, and other video sites you may want to stick to the schooling and education and leave the other stuff alone. Not that you can't do it, but the after affects of when you did it could pose a problem while looking for a job or during a point while you are settled in a career and someone resurfaces your old material. remember even webcams can be recorded and pictures distributed from them. You are young and making two very huge life changes, just be careful there is no such thing as easy money and there is no escaping one's past just try to keep the past from ruining your wonderful future.

^This. I guess it really depends on your comfort level with what you like to do (adult filmmaking vs webcamming vs escorting), but for me, as something I just do on the side, the relative anonymity of escorting is a huge plus.

And I seem to remember you posted about some escorting you've done, anyway. Worrying about this procedure's effect on something you've never even done (porn) is pretty silly.

Um, experience in the biotech industry is VERY helpful if you want to do biotech patent law or do biotech venture capital or investment banking. Work for a few years, then either go to law school, pass the patent bar, and start practicing patent law, or get an MBA and apply for a job at an investing firm that specializes in biotech.

Well rabbiteyes had wise words for you. IF you plan to do porn to help fund your studies then do stuff that leaves no traceable history on the web... i.e do live webcam stuff Don't create visuals which nter into the traceable history of the web and will come back to haunt you and, quite possibley, destroy your real life work prospects.

ClareSensual

TSLexi, I think an orchiectomy is a good idea for many transwomen. It speeds feminization and allows for a lower dose of estrogen. In some places, it is also considered a form of SRS and facilitates change of gender identification on documents. I had my orchiectomy in 2000 and I have never regretted it.

I'll add that I think you need to make facial feminization surgery a priority. Begin saving up for that. I recommend Dr. Jeffrey Spiegel in Boston.

By the way, I am a lawyer. I practice in one of the more "liberal" areas of law, immigration law. People are more openminded in this field, but we will always encounter transphobia, often from people you would least expect. And conversely, support from people you would least expect!

Live webcam's are usually recorded (often illegally) and reposted on pirate sites.

I'll echo this particular thought of seanchai's.

Lexi - you won't get to have it both ways. Porn WILL follow you everywhere. To make any reasonable amount of money from TS porn, you need to be highly visible. Of all the performers who went to the Tranny Awards this year I think only Tyra Scott & I maintained any sort of non-adult entertainment corporate job. I can't speak to Tyra's situation, but I know that my own situation is unique. My company needs me far more than I need them; as a result they are very tolerant of my extracurricular activities.

If you want a corporate career don't get into porn. Period. End of story.

Christ, no offense, but don't you think you should figure out where you want to end up and/or what you want to be doing with your life before you decide to do something as drastic as transitioning? Even more drastic is deciding to go ahead and start lopping off body parts. Listen, you're free to live life how you want, but PLEASE figure out your end goals. Like Eva and Seanchai have said, you can't just decide to pursue a career pathway without racking up a ton of debt, and as pretty much everyone else has said: getting naked on the Internet follows you everywhere.
