The Apprentice starts on BBC-1 in a few minutes; I just wondered what would happen if a transgendered candidate made it onto the list -what would her pitch be? How would Alan Sugar react? Any ideas? I think it is more likely to happen here than with the Trumpfest in the US, but I could be wrong.

I think transgendered people are, as a rule, too intelligent to take part in crap like this. TV fit for heat-stricken five year olds.

As as for the soundbites each candidate did for all the trails, if they'd just stood up and said, "my name's Colin and I'm a cock" etc., I might have respected their honesty.

If the concept ever had a purpose, it lost it a long time ago ...

Dont watch it but why would anyone have to know. I know this is a porn forum but I think people here forget that 90% of ts live their life and in my experience, which is considerable, it is sooo much easier to do now.

I was in Chonburi recently chatting to 2 young girls one from Isreal the other from Australia and they were 19 and 20 respectively and just having SRS. One was studying Law the other a makeup artist.

So why would it matter

And you don't by the same argument think there might be someone transgendered who runs their own business, and wants to be on tv who would go for it?

Sometimes when spinning the dial I catch the last 15-20 of Celebrity Apprentice. Fun watching this level of celebrity deal with their egos. I liked the season with Joan Rivers and Melissa. I think Star Jones was the biggest piece of shit I've seen on it. Her true colors were very predictable when her back was against the wall. I think Trump stole the "You're fired!" bit from Vince McMahon.

Vince McMahon Says You're Fired for 5 Minutes [HD] - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqQQ9_p02o0)

:iagree: These people are beyond parody, and you're absolutely right. Why join a circus after all you've already been through?

And Stavros, "transgendered" in this context could just as easily be FTM, so "he" as well.

Perhaps someone can enlighten me as I'm not a fan, but have any out gay individuals, male or female, participated so far?

Thankfully we don't get that sad exploitation of the credulous over here.

How do you know a past entrant/winner (or multiple) didn't have a Ts background?
They're hardly likely to mention it.....

Ha!
I would love a job which exclusively involved sitting and chatting with someone
while drinking lots of cups of tea, munching on biscuits (Hob-nobs or Jammy Dodgers)
while watching re-runs of Jeremy Kyle!
It's true!

Here's a weird segment from one of the shows:

More like 99%+ of trans women live and work in non-sex industry jobs.
No disrespect to any trans performers/Providers reading my post.
Careers in the sex industry are just as valid as any other job.
And trans Escorts are awesome generally. (Especially ones in Hertfordshire...http://serve.mysmiley.net/innocent/innocent0009.gif)

And you don't by the same argument think there might be someone transgendered who runs their own business, and wants to be on tv who would go for it?
Yes but would they really expect to succeed in the show, or in business generally,
if they confidentially walk forward and say:
"Hi, my name's Lucy.
I've an MA, spent three years working with IBM on market projection/future product development"
and 18 months ago started my own business for mainframe support.
This has grown to the point where I can take a hands off role and pursue other career directions.
Oh, and I was born with a penis.! http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-shocked014.gif........

My philosophy regarding Jeremy Kyle is that it is TV aimed at the unemployed.... however contradicting myself I have watched it briefly (I am employed) I spent the entire duration cringing and asking the screen if these people are truly are real!

It amazes me that there are so many bizarre creatures in this world that will go on national TV and air their dirtiest of laundry and all for a lie detector test which I may add are inadmissible in a court of law!

It beggars belief that JK or ITV find what I would refer to as 'the best of British' rather embarrassing I find!

Let me know when the 'husband sleeps with TS' story airs ;-)

I do not and will no watch the Apprentice (nor any other so called "reality" shows). The trailers for this are enough - a parade of insufferable, self obsessed, crass people displaying some of the very worst traits of modern man and woman. Ugh.

I think there has been an outgay on the UK Apprentice, but its not something I remember, given that most of it is unmemorable.

I was thinking that the concept of transformation would lend itself to the kind of braggadoccio that has lead one of the new contestants to liken himself to Napoleon (!); or "Stuart Braggs the Brand: Everything I touch turns to Sold".

I am Goldilocks from Solihull, but don't be fooled by my beautiful exterior: I might look like a fairytale but when it comes to slackers I am your worst nightmare. I know more about transformation than the Devil -give me a trailer of trash and I will transform it into gondola of gold...

Yes (in general terms and not connected with this show)
Transsexual women don't generally go outing other Ts women to the wider world.

With the one exception that next Tuesdays show, onwards....
Jeremy would appreciate everyone calling them "Jenny".

THIS IS TRUE! http://serve.mysmiley.net/rolleye/rolleye0012.gif

What the show endlessly demonstrates is that these preening narcissists have less self-awareness than the average garden gnome. I hate it.

Not one of them would be employable in a sane world.

Meanwhile, in another part of mediaworld, Fergie's resignation trumps the presentation of the government's legislative programme for the year.

Jolly well done, Britain!
