View Full Version : Do men in TS porn have any power to who they work with?

I was reading Seanchai's blog. I noticed something very interesting about his requirements for male performers.

No you cannot choose which models to work with.

Do men in TS porn have any power to who they work with? Are all TS companies like this?

Personally if I was a male pornstar then I want to have the option of saying no and given another option to work with someone I am interested in. Also who is also willing to work with me.

A performer who we'd worked with regularly like Christian, Smith, Wolf, etc. would have more leverage to say who they wanted to work with - but a brand new performer who wanted to come and work with us, would have to make a pretty strong case to refuse to shoot with a model.
I get applications of new guys whom before they are even accepted stipulate the type of girl or the exact girls they want to work with.
It's a job, they're not getting paid to have fun.

Thanks for responding.

I understand it is a job. I was curious because if I am not attracted to work with a particular model then I don't want to produce a bad scene. However, then again many pornstars are known to fake it.

Fake it? Do you mean "act" ?
They're all playing a role somewhat. It's got to be harder to do someone they're not attracted to and that's why you see better chemistry in some sets over others. I think this is why some male performers are at an advantage in that they'll literally fuck a knot in the wood, for fun.

At this point, I've done over 100 shoots (not all with TS models), and I'd say the males I've come across haven't been picky.

They just aren't serious. Talking about wearing shades and hats, or hiding their face. That's the number one demand, not whether or not they will work with a certain girl.

Regardless of gender, models/performers ALWAYS suck if and are automatic declines if:

a) They make a bunch of demands, or are picky. "I won't do this, I won't do that." Fuck outta here diva
b) They ask a ton of questions before the shoot (basically, they're just nosy and wasting my time. They don't want to shoot). Fuck outta here - You know it's a porn shoot.
c) Ask to be paid up front. Damn sure... Fuck outta here - Ask your boss for an advance
d) Want to bring their significant other or friend to the shoot - Fuck outta here. This isn't date night or a showcase for your boyfriend to act (and I do mean act) tough.

Haha

No offense, but what is wrong with this one? Some people are totally turned off by certain things or acts. Sometimes people won't do certain things because religious and personal beliefs.

Because if the conversation starts that way by the time you get on set it's a million times worse, everyone gets frazzled and you end up with a bad scene.

Case in point: I hired talent to do a scene with me. Three hours before I get a call asking for condoms. "Totally cool," I say. Hang up.

30 Minutes later: "Can we use condoms for oral too?". Personally do I find that overkill -- yes, but I can appreciate the talent's concern and it's not a show stopping request so I agree.

60 Minutes later I get another call... this time I don't answer it. Instead I typed up a text... "it's clear that, for whatever reason, you are very uncomfortable with shooting today. I don't think you've made any unreasonable requests, however the frequency & escalation of them says to me that even if we proceed with the shoot today you will not be at ease. I need a good scene and having you uncomfortable will not create a good dynamic. I think we should cancel this shoot and we can try again in the future."

I then proceeded to call up talent I knew was reliable and booked them instead.

In reality you can always refuse to work with or for anyone, you might not be hired in the future but you can just say NO.

What about the women? Do they get a say? For instance, if TS Hottie A shoots a scene with Random Cock B and they just don't have chemistry or they don't get along, will it be held against her if she refuses to work with the guy again?

Exactly. They don't need to be bothering me with their beliefs. You don't go into a new job and make demands of your employer, right?

Some of the models are young, think they know everything, and are ready to make a stand. Who has time for that? Either you're a fit model or not.

I don't have time for...

"Why do I need to do a cumshot? Why do guys like it."
"Why do I need to get hard, I'm a girl. Why don't you shoot me as if I have a vagina?"
"I don't shave my underarms, I'm a feminist."
"Why do you take pictures of feet? I don't get it."
"I don't paint my nails."
"I'm not going to shave between my legs, I have sensitive skin."
"I don't want to get completely naked."
"I don't want to show my ass."
"Women should not have to shave their legs."
(these are actual quotes)

I have to decline these type of 'models' "because religious and personal beliefs" have no place on a porn shoot. Take that shit to the lesbian porn sites. They love it! Guys don't. Haha

Find me a large number of people who would buy a shoot primarily because the model is hairy.

I may be assuming wrong, but I think that most people like models to be either bald down there, or neatly trimmed.

I understand those reasons. Models should look clean and have good hygiene. However, I was talking about if a T-Girl does not want a guy to suck her penis or the guy does not want to suck a T-Girl's penis. Sorry for not being clearer.

i have and always will not work with anyone if i don't want to for whatever reason. I have walked off a set with Jenna Rachels for Buddy Wood and recently he had a new girl that I walked off the set with as well. Either they play ball or they don't. Act professional and the shoot will happen or it won't.

Conversely, there have been many girls who for whatever reason don't want to shoot with me. It happens.

Same answer.

I don't want to deal with people who aren't down to get it done. For example, Brielle Bop, Gina Hart, or Cassie Sparkles will do what you ask them to do with no fuss. It makes working with a model who has limits seem ridiculous.

that theoretical meeting would never ever ever ever take place ever. porn is not unionized and won't ever be. your theory is maybe correct in other industries, but not porn.

this is in TS porn - companies have a standard rate for guys, that rate is the same across the board, if i went to Devil's Films and said i wanted to double my rate bc i feel i am worth it, he would simply say ok, and never hire me again while giving my scenes to the other guys who play ball. this is the same for every company.

in straight porn what you say happens somewhat more often on the upper tiers - Manuel Ferrara, Johnny Sins, Mick Blue, Erik Everhard, James Deen, Keiran Lee - that group charges more than other guys and get it from companies, but the large majority are in the same boat as the above situation i previously outlined.

So long as the person doesn't interfere with the shoot it doesn't faze me. That said, I only bring someone to set if it's MY production because it's nice to have a lackey. I don't think I've ever brought someone to set when I'm shooting for another company.

Besides, I need you hanging out on set more often - you keep my lackeys entertained. #efukt

yeah, bringing the boyfriend/girlfriend to set is fucking annoying as hell. hey dude, i don't come to your office and sit behind you while you try to work, don't do it to me.

plus the model NEVER and I mean NEVER acts the same when the significant other is present. she either has to pretend she isn't enjoying it so he won't get mad, or tries to make him jealous by over-acting, or stares at him instead of me.

I can't think of a single good reason why anyone except the people working on the scene should be on a set.

Christian is correct. Boyfriends will probably not see a TS performer as a threat, but me or a male performer? Please. They get silly.

These guy's foul energy has no place on a porn shoot. The boyfriend will always fit into one of these for categories (and helpful is not one of them):

The complainer
The comedian
The tough guy
All of the above

When a model has to try to keep her boyfriend happy and un-threatened, but at the same time be sexual and free, that never works...

The models can't cum.

Taylor Criss' man was cool as fuck, though. Awesome dude.

I was on the set a couple of times with my ex. While the solos were being shot, I actually helped out (and shot behind-the-scene footage). When it came time for hardcore, I kicked it with Yoko in another room so my girl could concentrate on the scene. It's just the best thing to do.

I've been invited back many times, but work keeps me away. I know how to act on the set; gotta be professional. And I'm not even the one fucking!

Hard to capture the magic and passion of the model when there is a friend at the shoot. The intimacy is gone between the artist/photographer and the model is gone.

I took Brielle Bop with me when I went to LA to shoot Cassie Sparkles' hardcore scene with Smith. The second day, I was free to watch the Brielle Bop solo shoot and they would have had me, but I decided that I needed to get lost.

I spent a little time with Brielle before the shoot and then got the hell out of there so Blackula could work with her one on one.

There is a connection between model and photographer that I didn't want to impede upon. It allowed them to work out their own kinks, come up with their own ideas, and do it the Blackula way so the Shemale XXX shoot is completely different from all the Radius Dark Brielle Bop Shemale Yum shoots.

Brielle also had an awesome time and even got to 'feelin' herself in LA a little bit. I loved it.

With me looming over the shoot, there is no way the shoot would have turned out the same way. It may have been good, but it would have been different.

The creation that was, would not have been.
