Hi,

I'm completely new to this but am looking at reviews etc for my first time.

However, I'm a little confused about all the lingo.

For example, what is passive/active, bottom guy, top guy and all that stuff?

I see some abbreviations to, like GG and WG. What do these mean?

Cheers!

Class in session! Professor Franklin is in the house!

GG means genetic girl. A person who was physically born a woman.

Bottom means a person who is getting fucked or receiving.

Top is the opposite of bottom.

WG= White Girls!

HWG= Hot White Girl!

Passive - the girl can't get it up
Active - the girl can get it up
Bottom - someone who likes to be on the receiving end
Top - someone who likes to be on the giving end
GG - Genetic Girl. A female who was born female.
WG - Working Girl (an escort aka a prostitute...though they don't like being called prostitutes)
TS - Transexual (Someone born a male who is transitioning or has transitioned to female)
MTF - Same as transexual
TV - Transvestite (a male dressed as a female)
CD - Crossdresser (the new politically correct version of TV)
Passable - Whether the girl in question is mistakeable for a girl or just looks like a man in makeup

So for example if someone posts "I've got loads of experience with GG WGs but am new to TS, looking for a busty passable TS who is active as I'm interested in bottoming. Not interested in TVs or CDs"

Then he means he's fucked loads of female prostitutes but has never had sex with someone who was born male but is becoming/has become female and is looking for one who has big tits and can get it up cause he wants to be fucked in the ass. He's not looking for a man pretending to be a woman though.

Hope that helps. Anything else you need to know, just ask away.

Franklin noted WG as White Girl and HWG as Hot White Girl.

Genetic noted WG as working girl. I think both abbreviations are common.

Not sure where I picked this up, but I feel that TV (Transvestite) has gay leanings while CD doesn't assign preference.

Baby, you're asking about NASA when you should be asking about NSA. Your GG is not TS'ing your CD. But really, it's all about the THC. Well, that and the CIA.

Understand?

Kk! GTG!

Looks like Genetic covered almost everything.

But he forgot a few of my favorites.

LMSWAO is "laughing my skinny white ass off."

And WOYF is "wig on your football."

Welcome to the forum.

While we're here, I have two questions/confirmations to ask.
- Ladyboy, we agree, it's reserved only for asian TG? 99.9% sure of this one though.
- How would you describe "trap"? If you search it on some image website, it's most of the time TG, and amateur. Is that what trap is reserved for? And is ita negative word? (damn, that's more than 2 questions )

Well, I will add one that I wonder for quite a while. Is "shemale" offensive?
I mean, some will always be offensed, but is it generally?
As non-english speaking, I've always seen that word and I learned to like it. That's usually the word I use. But on the board I prefer TGirl because I don't know how "shemale" is seen.

Thanks!

Ladyboy (and newhalf for that matter) usually means Asian TG.

Traps IMHO are just twinky boys who dress up as girls. Won't say it's offensive though...

Shemale on the other hand is a porn term and CAN be considered offensive, depending on context. I prefer Tgirl as well.

Comments from the peanut gallery?

A few more abbreviations
WE = Well endowed (also XL - extra large)
VWE = very well endowed (also XXL)
VVWE - speaks for itself and is probably a lie

I was talking to a girl last week (Gwendoline) and asked her how large her cock was. She had no real idea. She said that she'd never actually bothered to measure it. Who does? I suspect most working girls don't. So all those claiming nine, ten, 12 inches are probably just offering you a sales pitch.
There are, of course, some who are huge - and if that is your thing you can read the reviews and find them.

Also BB = bareback but can also be big and beautiful

And BDSM - Bondage, domination and sado masochism.

Willie's reply as ever was good, however, 'ladyboy' in the Asian context does not necessarily mean a transsex/transgender person. Femboys and receptive gay males often call themselves that too. (It's complicated.)

'Trap' is a recently fashionable phenomenon that seems to have originated in Japanese Manga (comics.) It is principally a style thing. Most commonly, traps are pretty boys who dress as very girly girls (Although some traps ARE genetic girls who dress as very girly girls...). Some (of the males) are gay but many are not. It's confusing and complex, because it's very fluid and really is a function of adolescent sexual self-discovery. It's only partly a gender thing, a lot of it is to do with 'cosplay' or dressing up, in short.

People who trap tend to do it when they're quite young, often with youthful, androgyne, or gender-ambivalent features, and then move on into some more defined expression of gender and sexuality as they get older. Many traps self-identify as such, and do not consider the term offensive at all. A LOT of traps are off limits, whatever their orientation, because of their ages. (Although this would be less of an issue here in Europe.)

More evolved TS/TG women, on the other hand, generally DO NOT like to be called 'traps'. (Understatement.)

'Shemale' is a porn-industry term and remains so in the Anglophone world, but elsewhere it doesn't always have the same connotation. Best to avoid it unless the person you are talking to identifies herself like that first.

Par ailleurs, si tu veut poser des questions en francais, n'hesite pas de m'addresser.

This is cool! I learned some stuff from this.
Is it also true that sub and dom are terms from bdsm that people mistakenly use for top/bottom?
I also thought active and passive were the same as top/bottom. Thanks for clearning that one up.

How about some of the terms that people find offensive aswell? Like shemale for example.
And what is a dragqueen?

The term trap started out being used for any male who passed as female whether on hormones or not. The idea was that you'd see the face pic, think they were hot, follow the pic set of them in underwear and then suddenly out of nowhere -PENIS! The person had been "trapped" into basically jerking off over a dude was the basic premise of it. The term has morphed now and every ugly man in fishnets thinks posting a close up of his cock and stocking tops makes him a trap. It's now pretty much exclusively used for cross dressing men.

Glad you found it helpful.

Sub and dom do indeed come from BDSM - Sub is short for submissive and dom short for dominant. Within the scene you get Doms (male), Dommes (female), subs (note the lower case) and switches (they can be either role). There are a number of rules but a sub can never in text refer to a Dom or Domme with a lower case d and should always use capitalisation for Him and Her in this case.

Yes the terms dom and sub do get switched for top and bottom in the BDSM scene and that has carried over outside the scene.

A drag queen is a man who is cross dressed but in an obvious way and usually flamboyantly. So rather than trying to pass, they are bringing attention to the fact that they are cross dressed and usually have large fake eyelashes and exaggerated features/dress.

In terms of offensive terms...yeah shemale is one, non Asians also don't like the term ladyboy or anything else with 'male', 'boy' or some sort of masculine term involved. Guys who are into transexuals generally don't like being called 'chasers' or being called gay/fag/whatever. Most guys into transexuals are actually straight and it's a fetish. Escorts really don't like being called prostitues (as mentioned before) so it's worth avoiding that.

Beyond that I think it's more politeness and respect in recognising a person's gender, so referring to a ts or a tv/cd (while dressed) by masculine terms (he, his etc) are pretty offensive. No matter if they don't even remotely pass their identity should be respected.

That's all I can think of for now.

Here's a quote from another thread

Frequently, an escort uses codewords to mask their perceived inadequacies by transforming them into an asset. Often we are asked, what does this mean or is there a glossary or dictionary, in reference to these terms, abbreviations, and acronyms.
To reduce the confusion for novice readers, we present, myRedBook.com's pessimist's guide to decoding escort ads:

Bottom Guy was a TV show in the 80s. Every episode would end with bottom guy doing something stupid, and then all the other cast members would whiningly say "Bottom Guy!" Then he would say "Uh oh, it's hard being at the top when you're always at the bottom!" Then the credits would roll!
