This has been discussed before ad nauseum.

There are multiple reasons why 3D has failed to catch on. Economy, finicky consumers, glasses, stubbornness by the older generations, poor usage by studios (just think if every 3D movie was Avatar or Life of Pi good, technically... instead of Hansel and Gretel BAD), overly priced media, media storage limits, and on and on.

I think it is ridiculous that now the big talk is ULTRA HD... as if you're going to suddenly see something at 2160p or 4320p that will make your viewing experience THAT much better? The only good thing about UHD is that eventually that will make passive 3D available at 1080p cheaper and available. Still, with UHD, then we need new storage so Blu-Ray will become the past. Pretty soon we'll just be purchasing movies on TB hard drives. It is ludicrous that people keep on paying for this stuff.

Anyway... 3D... yeah... it is pretty much dead. I do 3D shoots every once in a while for my site but there is just zero interest.

There is 3D porn. Penthouse and Porn.com have some 3D porn films. Brazzers announced that they will be producing 3D in the near future.
