I somewhat agree and somewhat disagree.

There were no 3D elements that really made it worth ponying up the extra change in my opinion, and I think James Franco was horribly cast, although I don't really have any ideas for anyone else either.

Michelle Williams was brilliant in it as Glinda.

Overall, I found it entertaining but not a "must see" movie by any stretch. Rent it, and definitely no reason to see it in 3D.

I finally saw "Wicked" on stage recently - another Oz prequel. it was dire. I think the original film is so special I shall avoid anything else drawing on the same source.

Saw it last night with my kid and I liked it a lot more than I thought I would.

Visually fun to look at and good messages about believing in what you can do and not to let anyone negative fuck with your head.

I haven't seen the movie, but in all the reviews I read they agreed that Franco wasn't right for the part. I believe Robert Downey Jr. was the original choice.

The really poor movie. You can find there the well-known 3D-engines and decorations of "Avatar", of "Alice 1" and of "Alice 2". Nothing new and exceptional.

Willie: Verne Schillinger would be the wizard.
