The Fashion and Style section of the Sunday NYT ran a story on how an aggressive swan attacked and nearly killed a couple who were kayaking too close to the nesting site.

Back in April a man was indeed drowned to death by a swan.

Of course we all know the story of Leda and the Swan. It's put out and get put out. What's a poor girl to do?

Big ,strong ,aggressive birds. Can be dangerous ,especially when your in their 'element'.
But no lifevest? Can't swim? That's just stupid.

There was a Swan in this.http://profile.ak.fbcdn.net/hprofile-ak-ash4/277130_134243849994215_2541621_q.jpg

As soon as the Swan entered Phoenix he knew he'd never get away from Winslow.

As a kid we were always told to be wary of swans "because they can break your arm"....
