I thought that this would be an interesting topic to present from my viewpoint, because being 20 years old, I was exposed to Internet shemale porn before I ever knew about drag queens who performed in gay clubs. When I wanted to see where I could find anybody who resembled a shemale locally (in buffalo, ny), I was informed by some of my gay friends who didn't have computers that the best place to go was club marcellas, a gay club that featured drag queens.

Before I went to the club, I thought that drag queens were another word for transsexual females (I was 14 at the time). When I went there I was horrified by the sight of these ugly men in dresses, with no real boobs, they always wore stocking (i was informed that this wasy because of their stubbly legs) and always wore outfits that would cover up their chests. This was back in 2000.

I found this strange be cause I was used to seeing to girls in all their femenine naked glory. I became disgusted and ran out of the inner-city blub, back to my internet porn at home! Thank goodness for Grooby!

Compare the 2 images, the first one is a tgirl, and the second one is a drag queen.

Your terminology is wrong.
A tgirl would refer to any person who fitted into a transgender (dressing as a female not FTM) role and that would include transsexuals, transvestites, drag queens, crossdressers.
Your making a point that drag queens are different to transsexuals - which is of course, correct (if not blatantely obvious). Transsexuals identify with being a female, a drag queen (although occassionally a transsexual) is somebody who enjoys dressing in "drag" which means "DRessed As Girl".

what is worth noting on this topic that many, not all,but many drag queens are TS in the making. Many dont have the funds to have any body mods, hormone therapy etc,and until they can afford that they live on both sides of the fence.

Of course there are many drag queens who have no interest in making the transition too.

im attracted to both, as long as they look very close to a woman.

so for those of you who like drag queens, you even like men in dresses, just as long as they look femenine? Even if the femeninity (cleavage, hairless skin, curves) are just a foam-padding produced illusion? How can you even begin to compare, someone like say, Rupaul or Lady Bunny, to someone the likes of Allanah Star, or Vicki RIchter, or Vo d'Balm?

Well now you're just getting rude.
I remember two of the above when they weren't living full time as girls (and they looked great) and another whom I've seen photos of.
Seems like you have some personal agenda to sell instead of making your co called "comparison"?

I don't see how this person was being rude. She (I'm assuming "she", from the kendra handle) seems to be saying "Ru Paul and Lady Bunny are drag performers, and don't come close to being truely beautiful like Vicki, Allanah, or Vo"

That's how I read it, and I agree. I think I might have met Lady Bunny once, but I'm not sure, and Ru Paul does do a great performance. But it's not even the same sort of thing to compare. Drag is an illusion, a performance. It's not being a girl.

I've been with a drag queen before (she was cute as a girl, but still indentified as a guy) and with a shemale as well. No comparison at all.

A shemale girl feels like, smells like, lives her life, just is a girl. A drag queen is a novelty act. Nothing wrong with that, but queens are not girls.

Good point, Arianna. Most of the queens where I work are very adamant on the fact that they identify as gay men who perform in drag, and most times I guess that's true.

But there are a couple performers who I am pretty damn sure are shemale waiting to evolve as girls, but are just playing the "drag game" because they are at least comfortable at the point the're at. Just a guess, I don't really hang out with our performers at all anymore.

It's too bad if the girls get sucked into that queenie drag scene, when they actually are meant to be girls. It's a difficult process however you look at it, I suppose.

I may have misread it but it seems like the author is more concerned about bad looking drag queens and bringing some examples in.
There are pretty bad looking transsexuals also.

I enjoyed hearing about Club Marcella in Buffalo. I made a few visits there myself a few years ago. Two performers, Aysha Black and Armani were very definitely very full time transitioned TSs.

Club Marcella is an everbody/everything club catering to gay men who wouldn't be caught dead with a M2F TS and lesbians who would love to. It's a confusing world for a straight-ish guy, but be diplomatic and tolerant and things might work out for you. Only a few cities like San Francisco or NYC have strictly guys and shemales (excuse the non PC term) hangouts.

Other than satisfying my own kinky erotic tastes, getting to know the full spectrum of genderland has deepened my appreciation for the full spectrum of humanity

If you really get to know some of the girls, a lot of girls that have the breast, hips, ass and more are just as much drag queens as the ones without the work. And some girls with no work can be more womenly then some of the girls with the T and A.

Don't judge a book by only it's cover.

This whole topic amuses me, because about 40% of the posts I read, is some guy gushing about some "hot babe" who in my opinion looks like a drag queen. T's I understand...

Stubbly dudes in panties... Thats Nasty!

I'll give it to you, I don't want shit to do with a drag queen or a crossdresser sexually, romantically, or in a relationship but it always strikes me as odd how so many of us will shit on them like they are the plague.

Let them get one or two procedures, drop a pill or two, or perfect some makeup skills and all of a sudden they are every guy's dream girl.

Just because I don't want to sleep with them doesn't mean that I have to treat or talk about them like dog shit.

That girl that you are droolin over today might just have been that shit on girl yesterday.

Wrong...

You say Many... I say 1%, and unless I failed math 1% don't count as many. Drag queens are Homosexual Males. Many (watch how I use it in the proper context) use Drag as a way to express their creative sides, through song and dance.

It's also interesting to note that Transsexual photos and films are considered "Straight" porn in the fetish category. Gay and Drag films are not. Not that there are very many drag films anymore...
